I enjoyed having a quick lunch upon arriving in Kyoto. They also made a very nice cup of coffee. It was fun watching them make it too. The staff was quite friendly.

Best coffee I have experienced whilst being in Japan (first visit). The cafe au lait comes in one small size and is a little pricey compared to UK prices. That said it is very good. Makes savouring all the more worthwhile. I was upsold a tub of mini donuts for an extra ¥100. Curious favours but delicious. Service was very... More

This cafe is inside the Shinkansen ticket area, but I stopped on our arrival into and departure from Kyoto with my parents, wife and 5 month old son. Food was great, staff was friendly, prices reasonable. I particularly liked the hamburger steak doria and the seasonal fruit parfait. Highly recommend.

I visited this restaurant towards the end of my day trip to Kyoto, Café Koto was an amazing place to unwind while waiting for our train back to Tokyo. The surrounding resembled a Western café but had all the lovely service one would come to expect from Japan. The menu was great offering both Western and Japanese dishes. They also... More
