I was brought here for lunch yesterday and it was surprisingly full of people. Full with older generations people having a few friends for lunch Located at the roadside of Jalan San peng, occupying the stall and 4shoplots. Food was good especially the crispy chicken skin wrapped up in fish paste and the crab meat homemade taufu was good. Total bill for 3adults including 2rice and tea, comes up to RM 91.00 Food was good and the portion could fit 4-5 people as was not sure if the size was large. Definitely will revisit again as they have many other specialties food

Revisit again and really missed their Chinese dishes. Price reasonable and big portions. We had:- Steamed Assam Fish @ RM 45 Signature Homemade Taufu Claypot Yau Mak @ RM 18 Total bill for 2adults and 1 child @ RM 91.50 Assam fish sauce was good but not on red tilapia. Small fish but all fishes here by 100g. The Aunty who took our orders wasn’t sure the price though. The homemade taufu was our favorite all the while and the Claypot Yau nak are full of flavor but not salty and oily which we loved it. Definitely a place to recommend for Chinese food and it’s always full despite it’s weekdays dinner

We loved this restaurant once I was introduced to this place by a close friend. At Zai Kee it’s crowded on lunch weekdays and even dinner during weekdays. Food remains excellent and most importantly it’s affordable and portion was huge We had:- Salad chicken @ RM 25.00 Baby Squid sambal @ RM 31.00 Homemade Toufu with crab meat @ RM 17.00 Herbal tea @ RM 2.60 each Total cost for 2adult 1 child @ RM 85.00 This place are highly recommended by me, just that parking are hard to find and it’s far from where I lived.

First time coming here for dinner although having pass this place many times before. Since it was friend's suggestion to try this place out, this is an opportunity. Not knowing what to order, asked the person taking our orders to recommend. Ordered as per their recommendations, which is spinach in superior soup, "Kum Heong" sting ray, charcoal tofu with pumpkin sauce, fried rice with scallop. Have to wait for a while as this place is quite full. Food is really good, no regrets. Price is reasonable. Would definitely come back again to try other dishes. Street parking

Located in San Peng you can either take a LRT train or drive n park in the train station car park where some touts will ask for rm3 (extortion or whom knows scratch your car. Should go get a job) The special chicken is nothing special and (stingy Ray Kam Heong)was so so. we like the mutton and the 3 in 1 special with a yam pot (fat put) , century egg and fish skin. the jelly in coconut was good. after 2 visits here to try the house specials I don’t think I ll be back as food is average not outstanding. I stAnd to be correct as they have all tables occupied almost every night . BTW don’t take the table inside the shop as the acoustics is really bad .. very noisy and you can hardly have a decent dinner conversation!

A very good variety of food n price is reasonable. Can get all local dishes here. Have an outdoor seating and also an indoor Aircon seating. Be prepared to wait at least 30mins to an hour during the weekends.

Typical noisy Chinese restaurant ;) Having said that, the food is amazing. The presentation is way beyond what you normally see from this type of restaurants. Good Penang style food. The ribs are fantastic and what is even more fantastic is the bill. Way cheaper than other restaurants I’ve visited recently. You can sit outside or inside, and making a table reservation can be a good idea. Parking is an issue, but that’s the normal here in KL…

Food is excellent and owner is very humble. Be there early as the crowd starts coming in by 5pm. Otherwise there may not be a table for you

Taken here by my cousins on 'Chor yee' (second day of the Chinese New Year). Extremely busy but we only had to wait about 15mins. Ten of us in total and we ordered 6 dishes (including 2 veg, fish curry, mix meat hot pot, tofu and a huge pot of rice) but the best of the bunch was the sweet glazed spare ribs which was succulent and slid off the bone. Only saw locals here, including 3 separate tables of Malaysian Indians so suspect the food is appreciated not just by the Malaysian Chinese community. Would definitely come back given the chance - best to come with locals/family or friends who are familiar with KL as it may be difficult to find (it's in the Pudu area)

Everywhere was fully booked so we decided to have our reunion dinner @ ZK this year and reservation was done 2 weeks prior to the date! Even ZK is almost taken except for few more tables at 530pm, no less! Early reunion in welcoming the year of the Rooster, no problem! We ordered the set @ RM 588 nett which comprises the following:- 1) Japanese Yee Sang (pre-ordered) 2) Scallop pumpkin soup 3) Deep-fried Grouper with Longan 4) Golden Dragon Chicken & Sesame Smoked Duck 5) Dancing Marmite Prawn 6) Braised Abalone & Mushroom with Brocolli 7) Wax meat rice in Lotus Leaf 8) Snow Fungus dessert 1) typical Loh Sang with tired slices of salmon 2) on the sweet side all thx to the pumpkin 3) grouper sliced and battered then deep fried and garnished with lychee, longan and grapes. something refreshing but I still prefer my fish steamed! 4) salty roast chicken and aromatic smoked duck 5) Prawns a little overcooked and we found it pretty savoury as well. 6) Abalone, mushrooms and stuffed bean curd sticks braised to perfection. Tender and juicy. The star of the night has gotta be this dish! 7) Hardly any aroma from the wax meat. A little on the dry side too. 8) The rambutan look-alike pancake is served cold and very addictive. Goes well with the snow fungus dessert. Overall, there's hit and misses this visit, but we've kinda expected it as everything is prepared in mass for the reunion day. @ only RM 588, we've nothing to complain about. Service is as usual, fast, attentive and friendly! You might wanna check out Zai Kee if you're around the area. Very packed on weekends, so plan your visit! Call for reservation the best! I have been here a few times and I have yet to try all their dishes. For the economical and variety this place is a heaven. The chef's takes pride in their cooking and even the presentation is almost like 5* restaurants.. minus the ambience. I have never seen such a great set cooking team in awhile. I believe that in years to come, they may challenge the likes of overseas and Oriental group restaurants if they continue their humbled approach and cooking techniques and etiquettes.

We arrived as early as 5.30pm to reserve 2 tables for dinner. Before 6pm, the entire restaurant was full, with tables spilling onto the sidewalks. Many people were seen hovering around, waiting for tables. Service was fast. We had the Chinese New Year yee sang, salted egg pumpkin, steamed fish, pork ribs, prawns, vegetables, tofu stuffed with salted egg. Everything was delicious except the yee sang, which we found to be of extremely small portion. And, the ingredients were not shredded thinly, in fact, they were sliced into big pieces.
