An yearly outing for yee sang took us to Sushi Zanmai One Mont Kiara. I am rating it highly for their excellent attentive service and their value for money dining experience. I had tenzaru soba noodles and dragon roll. Then we had yee sang. I...also ordered chicken katsu donburi and mini california maki. Overall, a very pleasant experience that does not cost an arm and leg. The portions are just right.More

It's laughable how bad the service is, when you ask a question, they won't answer it and tell you to wait. And I can't believe how they drip-feed you your food and orderS (yes PLURAL) ONE BY ONE. And worst of all: the wait times....We had to wait more than an HOUR just to get about 7 orders served!! so it was pretty funny when after about a 1H and 20min wait they served us an item long after we paid and were ready to go. This was one of our favourite places to eat in Kuala Lumpur and we have eaten here perhaps more than 30 or 40 times over the years. Unfortunately thsi experience was very bad and did not have a good outcome. We ordered two spicy ramen,...edamame, seven sets of salmon sushi mentai, 3 ebi tempure temaki, garlic fried rice, shimeji karage, two passionfruit teas and one m ilky green tea. The terrible thing was that we saw a live slug more about 1.5 cm long on the lettuce of one of the ebi tempura temaki. My wife spotted it just before my young son was about to eat it. It ws such a shock as it shows that the staff do not care about hygiene and do not wash the lettuce properly. It made me feel quite sick and slugs contain virus that can be extremely dangerous so we think we averted a disaster. We showed the staff and could see three of them looking at the slug and talking around the corner. We did not say anything more about it, and we unpleasantly surprised when it came to paying the bill. Instead of anyone apologizing or giving us a discount, all the staff did was give me the bill. I saw that they charged us for 2 temaki instead of three, but no apology or discount offered at all. We now feel that people need to be careful about what they eat at Sushi Zanmai. Stay away from the temaki because they all contain lettuce and we know that it may have slugs or possibly other animals inside it. sushi Zanmai obviously didn't care about us as a customer and this really disappoints us.More

The very first time got so angry when visited a Japanese Restaurant to have a meal. We visited this branch at MidValley for the first time. We were queuing in front of the shop for nearly half an hour for dinner, no one serves us...in even though there’s plenty table but mostly were occupied by plates, cups and leftovers from previous customers. The point is that it wasn't full house and yet no one wanted to clear the tables to cater us and others in the line. Waited for long hours but we got such #Poor management and hospitality. When we finally been seated, most came and asked “do we want green tea” instead of diligently cleaning other tables first. They could just repeatedly pass through all the unclear tables and no one wanted to clean the tables. With three waiter and one waitress I saw in the dining hall which I think the manpower is enough to maybe assign a person to clear the tables? While the food is served, they just put it on the table and left without saying what dish it is or ask which of us ordered it. The most unacceptable service is that when helping us to refill our green tea, the spout touched our cups 😱 who knows the spout touched who else’s?More

A nice place and clean restaurant. Has variation of dishes which we can choose from e-menu made available for customers. Ordering is seamless through e-menu and QR code provided. Good place for family.

It is the best, you get a robot coming to you and also there is a belt. There are lots of sushi, and it is good for people who likes salmon. Vegetarians can eat there without problems!! (written by a 6 years old)

Had a friend visiting and it was her birthday so we decided to go for Sushi Zanmai and I would say it was a great choice. Wait staff were friendly and helpful but if they are more knowledgable on the food, then it would have...been ideal. We ordered a whole load of food and cost wise for 8 pax with 2 bottles of sake was about RM430. Not too bad ~ we really ate a lot.More

Food was acceptable and reasonably priced. Service was good. Aircon was kinda missing and we were perspiring throughout the meal. There were 2 uninvited guests who joined us for lunch and were unfortunately smashed by us instantly. It was a painless quick death! We showed...the servers the remains and they were very apologetic and the restaurant supervisor and manager took turns to offer their apologies and even offered complimentary desserts to us. I suspect the hygiene in the premises is really bad which results in the cockroaches coming out in the day. Dine here if u don’t mind having additional uninvited guests.More

I used to be a big fan. However the quality is deteriorating every time I visit. I hope they can take note of this remark and try their best to maintain the quality despite the increased opening of branches.
