Delicious food and cooked very well. We had the prawn kizhi, meen pollichithu, and the mixed veg. Atmosphere was great too and staff were helpful.

Keralan is not a widely-known or widely-available cuisine in Malaysia. Can’t vouch for the authenticity of the dishes Kayra served as I’ve neither been to Kerala nor eaten its food many times, but what we tried was yummy, varied and fresh-tasting. We particularly liked their...vegetable dishes - Beetroot Mezhukkupurathi (a type of stir fry), Jackfruit Broccoli Moilee, Okra and Mango curry and Pumpkin Erissery (a pumpkin and kidney bean dish with roasted, grated coconut). Their showstopper for our group of 8 was the seabass moilee (a coconut gravy spiced with turmeric) biriyani … but I would have had just the veggie dishes and been very satisfied. They did have a modern starter of a chicken dosa taco which I thought was quite innovative and unusual. And their desserts were pretty delicious too … the biggest hit at our table was their Waffam - a cross between a waffle and an appam, eaten with ice cream and jaggery. Really good.More

Delicious food and amazing ambiance. We ordered the kadala curry, mutton stew, Malabar meen curry , berry nut briyani and ponni rice, chapati and multigrain roti. All the dishes were absolutely delicious. Distinctive taste and good portion. Best Indian restaurant I have been to in...Kuala Lumpur. Even though the restaurant is located inside a shopping mall,  but the seating in the balcony gives a feeling of being in an open and green space. Make a reservation as the place is often crowded.  Great service and attentive waitresses.More

The dishes are generally flavourful and distinctive - as opposed to some restaurants that use a "base" and then just vary it here and there for individual dishes. The prawn & mango curry was a highlight. Breads were not soggy or pre-made; the briyani had...the right fragrance. The masala tea did not compromise on spices, and was served nice and hot. The only two failures were the Sea Bass (flavour good, but fish was stale) and - surprisingly, because it's an easy dish - the chicken tikka, which was too salty. Service was attentive despite it being crowded - we were told up front that food would take 20 mins to cook, so fair enough. PS: Not cheap, and not generous with portions, either. This is a Bangsar-priced place that's good for an occasional splurge, unless you're super rich....More

Meal was alright. Ambience was cosy and very comfortable. However, I find it rather expensive. Also, during lunch, the place was rather crowded, hence service was a little slow which is understood.

Why is this place crowded? Because it's a long weekend? We ordered the sattisoru and veg rice bowl and both were horrible. We left most of it. Such a disappointment. Neither of the dishes tasted Keralan. It was just a pile of junk.

Nice, cosy place. Good food too! The dahi puri is the bomb! Feels like I’m in Kerala. Only minus point is they don’t cater for celebrations. Came here for my dad’s birthday and requested for a simply table decoration, they said they don’t do table...decos. It’s a very nice place for small family celebration, hope they provide table deco in future.More

We started with sangria - the likes I have never had, with a medley of tasty wines and spirits, topped with a cumin foam: spectacular! For our meal we shared fish biryani - perfectly cooked, yogurt beets, eggplant curry. Satisfying; beautiful presentation and beautifully balanced....The service was excellent. We sat on the patio with lovely verdant greenery around us, a warm breezy day. A perfect escape from the chaos of the city. We will return.More

Chanced upon this restaurant while walking around Bangsar Village and decided to give it a try. The Meen Moilee is a must try. It is very close in taste to my Grandfather’s. A great accompaniment to this is the Amman’s Pachidi. It’s a cold dish,...so it’s a refreshing contrast to the fish. Another refreshing change to the meal is the Kerala Cooler. The cardamom in this coconut and palm sugar drink also helps cut through what can be a heavy but delicious meal Overall, a very pleasant surpriseMore

I brought my parents (82 and 80 years old) to this restaurant because we are Malayalees and we just wanted to try the food. We were not aware that we had to make reservations however the staff made an exception as I had my old...parents with me. Food was excellent and tasted so authentic just like in Kerala. They also had some fusion items on the menu - dosa tacos which was amazing. Price wise it is expensive but then again nothing is cheap in Malaysia so I will not fault the management... I will highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for authentic Malayalee food with good service.More

Staff came and said "this dish takes 20minutes to be cooked." Sent a private message to the restaurant for them to improve and received the same respond, that it takes 20-25 minutes to prepare the chicken. But they're sorry that there was a delay in...sending in this order to the kitchen (by 10 minutes). Well okay, first of all, I cook and I cater. Second of all, I waited over 45 minutes not 25, and 35. There was a lot of delay... and they did not seem apologetic about this. It was really sad for me to see everyone else around us receiving their orders except for our table. I feel that the whole experience was very offensive and their responses were condencending. Full stop. There are other places in town that serve better food and with staff with better manners and kind, and better service. I will not return.More

My wife and I had dinner this evening at the Bangsar Village restaurant which opened this year. This restaurant took a while to open to the public but is well worth the wait. Great food, we ordered the mutton stew which was lovely as it...was tender and tasty. The multi grain roti and appam were just delicious. The biriyani rice was also good, better than I expected. The Thoran was unusual to us but it was nice. Service was supportive and friendly as we were not familiar with their menu. Well, this restaurant is worth a second visit and perhaps more. Just hope they maintain their quality over time.More
