What a bad dining experience at Ah Weng Koh Hainan Tea! I am the regular customer in this kopitiam used to order Hainan tea, kaya butter toast & half boiled egg besides noodles for my meal. Today, came with colleagues and we ordered noodles, decided...not to order beverage due to the Hainan coffee not good as compared to last time (less kopi aroma taste only left sweetness). Later on, an uncle a.k.a kopitiam owner came over to our table and we have been asked to sit outside and eat our noodles if no order beverage. We were shocked since when this "rule" applied in this kopitiam as I only saw notice "Outside Drink Prohibited" but not stated that dine-in must order beverage. I knew your business is selling beverage, but Hainan tea not nice yet pricey.... Being a wise customer, knowing how to choose the right one. There are still many choices in ICC Pudu with better service, please improve your manners and Hainan tea!More

I had lunch today with another 3 colleagues at this AH WENG KOH HAINAN TEA & COFFEE and guess what? We had THE WORST ATTITUDE & RUDEST CONFRONTATION by the STAFF of the beverage/AH WENG KOH HAINAN TEA & COFFEE (He is an old chinese...man) just because we did not order any beverage from him!!! Since when not ordering drinks is a crime??? This UNPROFESSIONAL, UNETHICAL & HORRIBLE staff came to our table and told us that we should sit outside (meaning not in his so-called kopitiam) if we did not order any drinks from his place when there is no such rules stated anywhere neither in his kopitiam nor any notices paste to inform such ridiculous and stupid standard (I should say ZERO SERVICE STANDARDS)!!! We ordered noodles soup for lunch at his kopitiam and just because without ordering any drinks, we were treated like a thrash!!!!! By the way, the only notice pasted everywhere at this kopitiam stated "Outside Drink Prohibited". I guess that staff needs a translator to understand what his own kopitiam's notice's means! We were the regular customers for the pork noodles stall in this kopitiam and every single time we were there, the kopitiam staff always gave rude stares to customers if there is no beverage ordering especially a slim chinese lady. It is an EXTREMELY UNPLEASANT dining experience but the WORST is the staff behind this kopitiam - beverage who acts like a mobster today! I strongly hope future food lovers can try other food stalls and kopitiam in ICC Pudu because the other food & beverage operators are none of the above!More

Lovely lunch at this coffeeshop at pudu, served very meaty pork noodles that is so delicious and tasty, plus poppiah is ever worth the bite, with meat balls soup and chee cheong fun with sesame and curry sauce are miraculously lovely. Enjoy afternoon lunch with...a cup of famous Hainanese coffee ice and Astro bread with sugar and condense milk 😋😋😋More

Nice smooth ah Weng Kor tea! Nice popiah, n Yong tau Foo without curry but chilli n sweet sauce! These food taste good! We took grab here as it appears too complicated for us to walk here though we were told it is located somewhere...behind TIMES SQUARE. We bought the instant ah Weng Kor tea without sugar... Taste different! Don't waste money. We also went further in to taste the tea (first stall after the newspaper stall) but taste different. Not smooth!! But we like the traditional toasted kaya 🍞. 👍 😋 We also tried some wine chicken bao n some "Chang Feng" ... 😞 Heard from taxi driver that the stalls here are opened from 7am to 2-3pm... N maybe closed on mon... Not sure how true.More

When you are too early for your appointment around 5.30 am plus and don’t know where to go and eat for breakfast, this is the place. Serving freshly “tarik coffee” with freshness of its coffee, blended with toast bread locally made with butter & Kaya,...and two half boiled eggs almost well done, and not forgetting their famous delicacy pork noodles with lots of crispy sensational Pork Lark that adds to better taste and their local homemade pack “Nasi lemak bungkus’ with freshly made sambal belacan simple delicious with kacang & some ikan bilis.😋😋😋More

Enjoyed my breakfast tea with slightly sweet soft and fluffy bread buns in KL. There's always a huge crowd. Get up there early, you will not have to wait in line.

So, i have heard of their coffee and toast before as they are the first name that comes up when one talks about this hawker place. I went there on a Sunday morning, and lo and behold, i had the WORST SERVICE in my life....EVER.That was my first time at the hawker complex, it was divided in sections. What i did was i ordered coffee from Ah Weng Koh, and proceeded to buy some food from other stalls( from another section) and brought it over to eat. The first thing i got from Ah Weng Koh staff was , "Hey, u cannot bring that here" in a rude tone...i was kinda surprised cause i didnt know about that and he was being rude. After that i got another staff who was even RUDER, who told me to make sure i brought the plate back to the other stall, and that i can only order food from HIS section...and to read the instructions when i eat here. Excuse me, but your banner only says no OUTSIDE food....how am i suppose to know that food from a different section but in same complex is also considered outside food??! Nevertheless he went on and on, and told me not to come anymore and that he is the BOSS, and customers shoud listen to him. OMG entitled much?? Dear staff of Ah Weng Koh, i do not care if you are the boss, but your attitude is HORRIBLE towards customers. Brush up on your manners as your staff seem to have none. Know that, your coffee is not the best coffee in Kuala Lumpur .People can easily dine somewhere else when there are so much other choices around with BETTER service. Such a terrible sunday morning spent that dayMore

Really cannot find another place serving such good tasting Hainanese tea. They have also made into instant sachet costing RM 23 per box of 14, taste very close to what is sold in the resturant.

We missed out on visiting last time we were in KL so we put it on our must visit list this time round. Disappointed to say we felt let down considering all the hype and 5 star reviews on tripadvisor. We ordered 10 kaya toasts,...they came out pretty quick but the toast was so hard it just crumbled when we bit into it. So we though we would try the buns next in case that was any better - sadly the kaya was not spread evenly on any of the buns (they were spread towards the middle but nothing around the edges so every bite didn't allow us to enjoy the kaya flavour. The tea was also nothing special? I wouldn't go back. I honestly had better kaya toast at Bread Talk!More
