First off, this is a review on their food delivery and not dine-in nor stay.
Many of us already know that most hotels especially the big names can easily whip up a delicious meal in their home ground. But the bigger question is, can that same meal withstand the trip in a container and in the hands of a delivery person and yet retain their goodness?
Lobster Tagliatelle Kit (RM 260)
Packing: Not the first time we have ordered from St Regis & we absolutely adore their packaging. Everything about it screams luxury. Even though it arrived in a paper box & paper bag, it was embossed with their logo on it. It was even delivered via Lala move which was a first for us especially for food deliveries.
Taste: We ordered their Lobster Tagliatelle (RM 125.08) previously (the first 3 photos) & it was absolutely delicious with a rich sauce & the lobster shell all smashed up making it easy to eat.
Expecting the same, we ordered again. However what we missed was the “KIT’ which should have given it away. Imagine our surprise when we heard a scraping sound from the box which we left on the table!! Gingerly, we removed the contents and almost dropped the box upon seeing a live lobster within! Gosh you should have seen our faces! Without thinking, we grabbed our mobile and frantically dialled for friends to our rescue as we eyed the lobster in the box poking around. Thankfully, the fishy affair was quickly resolved! All in all, the lobster was absolutely fresh, hang on, live! 😂 The kit arrived with uncooked pasta, a broth & condiments to piece the meal together. But in all honestly, I think St. Regis did a better job cooking it the previous time than us this time.
White Chocolate & Raspberry Brownie 28.00
Taste: An absolutely mouth watering Pistachio Cake topped with Almonds, chocolates and raspberries. An absolutely perfect melody of sweet and sour to end the meal!
By far one of the best and to date still our favourites. However, would be awesome if they could send us a chef along with the kit in the future😂😂

Excellent ambiance and experience. I look forward to going back.
Our executive business lunch included a choice of a starter, a main course and a dessert. We were the only patrons on a Friday and it was a delightful meal.
Firdaus was a very good host, explaining to us the different courses and ensuring we are well looked after even after his shift ended.
The lunch was a gift voucher won by my friend during last year’s St. Andrew’s Ball. Due to the COVID19 related MCO, St. Regis’ Brasserie extended its validity until August. That’s true hospitality worth replicating.

We came here for our anniversary. Read a lot of positive reviews so we wanted to celebrate with some place special. We decided to do lunch.
They have on offer the Executive Set Lunch Menu. We took a look but we decided we wanted to go Ala Carte as there were a few dishes we wanted to try.
The Tuna tartare was a little too soggy. In fact the dish was a little too acidic to a point it started to ‘cook’ the tuna. A lot of the tuna pieces turned brown due to the acidity. Usually tartare the protein is the ‘hero’. In this case the flavour were masking the tuna. It wasn’t too bad that we wanted to send the dish back, but definitely won’t be ordering that again.
For mains we shared three different dishes. We had the risotto with foie gras, which was nice. The signature sea bass was good, but the star of the day was the short rib. This was heavenly. Reminded us a little of La Trompette in Cheswick, London. You could pull the meat with a fork and it will just fall off. And the thickened jus really lifted the taste of the protein.
We had a bottle of white. When we finished our mains, we still had more wine so we decided to order the cheese platter. Quite average. Wouldn’t recommend it.
The restaurant was cosy. This was one of those places where we had a lot of natural light, and the restaurant was spacious. Ambience was really relaxed and comfortable. We spent a good 2.5 hours throughout and it passed quickly.
All in all we had a great time. Some misses, non the less the service was great. And like any other Marriott property we visit, our lifetime platinum membership with Bonvoy was recognised.
Yes, we will return.

Called to make a reservation exactly one week ago to ensure we had a booking as I wanted to celebrate my husband's birthday.
I was actually very impressed by how professionally the reservation was taken because i have called many restaurants before to place reservations but this was by far the most detailed. The waiter repeated all the details of my reservation and even asked if i was celebrating abything before I mentioned it was my husband's birthday. After hanging up, I even told my husband and my maid how impressed i was with the way the reservation was taken and that all restaurants should have such practices.
However, when we arrievd the restaurant on the day of my husband's birthday (12/9) for when the reservation was made, I was told they could not find my reservation. There i was, waiting outside the restaurant with a baby who was getting fussy inhaling all the bad air from the lounge, without a table because of an error the restaurant staff had made.
Needless to say, it was a disappointing start to the evening. The assistant manager moved some tables around and managed to fit us in but did not once come by to apologize to us for what had happened. The Manager (I'm assuming it's the Manage who wore the full black suit) also did not stop by to apologize.
Instead, after we had finished our meal and requested for the check, the hostess was the one whk apologized, saying they would find out which staff made the reservation that day. While i appreciate her assuring me action would be taken, she did not ask what time I called to place the reservation, nor did she ask if the person who answered the call from their end was a man or a woman. And I was told they do not record any of their phone calls for reservations, so how would they track back?
And even if they found out who made the error, it is still the Manager who should apologize to the guest on behalf of the staff AND the hotel. Why be a Manager if you can't bear responsibility for your team's errors? A Manager is supposed to protect the team and lead with humility. If you don't have the humility to apologize sincerely, yoi don't deserve that title.
Missing out a reservation is NOT a small problem. We had been anticipating tonight's dinner for the past week and had gotten dressed for a nice outing to celebrate a birthday with our baby. But because of their error, our reservation was not in their system. Why should the guest have to go through such disappointment when the restaurant is the one at fault?
Food was just average ; nothing to shout about.
Verdict: not worth going back for.
Verdict: definitely not worth going back for.

Had the 5 course meal with wine pairing. To pair with my steak, at first waiter tried to pour me Chablis. I said it should be a red. Then after some delay, he came with a red that is not in listed as the wine in the pairing. Insisting that the other was out of stock. After pouring and there is not enough for 1 glass, waiter took 15 minutes to come back and said he found the wine from the original pairing menu. Had my wine with a cold steak 20 minutes after steak arrived.
At the beginning, waiter after consulting his manager says, I will get 15 percent discount for Maybank credit card payments (ala carte) after deducting my amount of a voucher I had. I clarified this before ordering. Upon payment, they insist there is no credit card discount after using voucher. (Either or)
Plates and cutleries were not cleared and provided adequately for such a premium priced restaurant. Unacceptable.
As a platinum elite member. Not up to standard of Braserrie at St. Regis.

I had breakfast twice in the Brasserie, once in Dec 2021 and another time in Apr 2022. In the 2022 visit, I noticed the breakfast experience has deteriorated.
The Brasserie offers fresh fruit juice which is a plus point and differentiate St Regis as a luxury hotel. However in Apr stay, they have added water to fresh fruit juice and ended up all fresh fruit juice tastes like water. This is really a terrible thing to do, is it to save cost? It appears to me the ratio is 20% fresh juice 80% water. If you really want to save cost then don't even offer fresh juice. It is deceiving customers when you mention fresh juice is offered when basically you are providing heavily diluted juice.
Serving diluted fresh juices like some other 3 star hotel will taint the St Regis brand
I am not sure if they also do that to separately paid fresh fruit juice.

I booked a room with breakfast inclusive rate. I went for breakfast on 9 October 7am. I wasn't informed there is a la carte menu for breakfast and only knew today there is such menu after having a chat with my friend. It is really unacceptable not to inform guest there is such menu where I can order. Is this a cost saving strategy? I attach the picture of the a la carte menu my friend was provided and he was able to order from this menu for breakfast which he said was wonderful experience. But I didn't get to experience this.

After months of covid isolation, I wanted to treat myself and a friend to a special meal at one of the finer international hotel restaurants…so an easy location with easy access, a welcoming security, a clean secure parking and a garage elevator straight to Level 2. We were greeted, seated, given menus and we immediately ordered their Virgin Asam Boi Mary (a version of the traditional ‘Bloody Mary’). WOW, beautiful, spicy, sour and sweet in the same sip…so unusual and refreshing.
Our starters arrived…for me, a cauliflower velouté with a delicate caramelized cauliflower supporting truffles, Romanesco and Curry. For him, a Loch Duarte Salmon with salmon roe, BBQ Cucumber, Crème Fraiche and baby watercress.
Our Mains arrived, and my 220 g Stanbroke Signature Black Angus Rib-eye (medium rare) with roasted vine tomatoes, lightly layered potato crisps, and a truffle salad. My friend’s ‘Whole Boston Lobster” with fine herbs and a truffle salad…the presentations were superb…colors, textures, forms and best…taste. We also ordered new potatoes, grilled asparagus and young carrots to share.
Neither of us felt “stuffed” and we then shared three deserts……Highland Strawberries w/Sarawak Black Pepper and sorbet, an Apple Tarte Tatin with Crème Fraiche/Caramel and Apple Sorbet, and Valrhona Jivara Chocolate Mousse with an amazing Passion Fruit Sorbet. Valrhona is a French chocolate manufacturer based in the small town of Tain L'Hermitage near Lyon, France...a cappuccino and coffee.

My 2nd post-covid lunch for a group of 12, and glady worry-free. This chic French & Western cuisine restaurant was able to offer us exclusive service, delicious food and a customised set lunch menu.
A tad pricey but the richness of the menu, ambience and service offered a fine dining experience worthy of this 5 stars review

First of all: we have been, and remain fans of the fab St. Regis celebratory brunches here in KL. This particular Easter one reflected a number of ‘changes’ (even mentioned to us by one of the chefs, upon arrival). For us, we missed some. stations (carvery, pasta, e.g.) and live music/any music. No foie gras this time, no sashimi, or ice cream. The dessert bar was noticeably thin on chocolate offerings (one of my husband’s faves), but also lemon/apple elements, as well. Upon being seated, 4 beautiful canapés were brought to us, but we felt badly that we weren’t fans of them all and therefore, some waste. Similarly, the portions of the 3 proteins were prescribed — I’d have probably only done the salmon (which was divine!); the duck was fine & the Wellington (which they promptly changed for medium rare, upon request) was okay — but it was just too much. Not entirely sure why customer choice wasn’t more the case (as with carveries, etc…). The fresh seafood was wonderful, and the kids present were enthralled by the balloon guy. As always at the St. Regis, service was 100% spot-on — on a very busy occasion, they were somehow always ‘available’!

The stay was good in general but the one thing that worth trying out would be the Sunday brunch in St Regis KL Sentral. Chef Akmal in particular was very attentive to the needs of each guest that changes the whole stay experience. Food that is served is quality and value for money, especially when there is lobster, caviar and even truffle. Strongly suggest to try out the brunch on Sunday if you’re around.

What an excellent place to dine! Great service and incredible and thoughtful menu. The front of house made us feel so welcomed; no detail is too small for Siti. She is constantly anticipating your needs and making sure you feel special.
The food is full of flavor and taste, but the staff makes you feel you have entered into a different world. The expectations are high at St. Regis but Siti and her team exceed them.
The setting is nice and airy, full of light!
