This restaurant has the most reasonably priced chicken chop, a rare find in KL. It has stood the test of time as the management has existed since my grandparents’ era. Lunchtime can be really crowded so be prepared to share a table with strangers. You can also buy their signature butter pound cake.

Came here for breakfast today and really enjoyed the food a lot especially the dry beef noodles. Really recommend the dry beef noodles because it’s so flavorful and not to feeling at all. Price wise was also reasonable as well as all of it cost lest than RM50.
Highly recommend coming here and would like to try their other food items as well.

coffeeshop serving old school and hearty Hainanese cuisine .
What is popular is the pork roll , similar to porchetta , the skin was very crispy but tough at certain parts .
The chicken chop is dipped in some egg
Batter and pan fried , then drenched in brown gravy .
Dining companions ordered the beef porridge which was very well received too .
If you like fried rice check out the belachan fried rice , quite packed with spicy dried shrimp .

Definitely the best local breakfast in KL! We went twice during our visit to KL. Scrumptious food, yummy drinks. Everything we ordered was great: chicken congee/porridge, roast pork, pork chop, roti babi, kaya toast… and the chicken chop was the highlight for us. Oh, and the marble cake was really lovely too! Overall, a must visit!

Came here for late lunch as we have errand to run after that around that vicinity
We had:-
Kopi Peng @ 3.45
Roti Babi @ RM 14.00
Belacan Fried Rice @ RM 9.50
Beef Stew @ RM 13.20
Assam Prawns @ RM 24.00
Total bill for 2 adult @ RM 68.00
Honestly From our opinion, the belacan fried rice was full off wok hei , roti Babi was good. The kopi peng coffee powder was fragrant but the ratio of milk and sugar was not equal
Assam Prawn honestly, not worth ordering. Any Chinese stall would have done better. Beef stew was okay but not fragrant and boiled long enough
Would not revisit as it wasn’t anything special even the cakes are the rough and sweet

Top notch old school restaurant/ cafe serving classic hainanese dishes like chicken chop, charcoal toasted bread and of course, your hainanese styled coffee and breakfast.
The decorations inside the restaurant remained true to its history, with large mirrors scattered around the cafe. Coffee shops in the past used to be decorated like that. Even the furnishing and fixtures remained true to its time. We appreciated the flooring tiles too.
The chicken chop was cooked to perfection, soaking up the tomato sauce that came with it that made the entire dish a delight to savor. The Kaya used for the toast was out of this world. I believed they are making them in-house. Nowadays, I seldom see such Kaya served.
A delightful and nostalgic dining experience indeed.

I have been away from Malaysia for more than 40 years returning irregularly once in 2 years. Whenever I am in Kuala Lumpur I make it a point to visit this restaurant for its authentic Chinese food prepared locally by experience chiefs.
I love the chicken chop with potatoes and a few droplets of onions with green pees. Combined with the sauce served is added chilli sauce as well as Worcester sauce that is delicious to savour when eaten. The sensitivity of the nerves lining the tongue immediately conveys to the brain that the food is succulent with the desire to consume all of it at once. Saliva dropping aplenty with more to come until food is consumed.
Other varieties of Chinese dishes are excellently prepared.
Food prices is inexpensive.
Go and try it.

This famous Hainanese coffee shop is definitely worth trying. Price is still quite decent although it's been increasing lately. Hailam mee is delicious and the coffee is "kaw" (strong). I prefer the chicken chop over the pork chop as I think it goes better with the gravy. I guess the potatoes will be better if the fry it slightly longer. Unfortunately I missed out on the special pork chop.
Signature kaya roll is good. It's soft and not overly sweet but then again it depends on your luck.
Parking can be a hassle. A lot of illegal parking touts in front so park at your own risk or find for a proper parking lot.
Overall I think it's a good place for breakfast or brunch if you're visiting Kuala Lumpur. I will definitely come back someday.

A short distance walk from my hotel and open early at 730. The food is very nice and really value for money. Serve fast and yet still hot. A simple breakfast to start the day. I just didn’t have the opportunity to try their signature pork chop and roast pork as it really too heavy for me in the morning.

Great ambiance, service and food at Yut Kee. Worth a visit! Was busy but able to get a.nice table, service was fast, accurate, not friendly per se but quick, helpful. Roti Babi, the chicken chop, roast pork and beef noodles are favorites. Dont forget the awesome kopi and kaya toast. A strong recommendation to stop by.

Came here cause our driver said this place was good and a couple other places here were good. Ended up not getting the token tourist dish the tourists got cause I saw some locals eating some noodle dish that looked really good. Was able to point and tell waiter I wanted that and milk tea. The noodles with with pork and pork gravy was delicious.

Reach this restaurant around 2pm, still crowded but there isn’t any queue. Service is good, food served very fast, price is reasonable. Can’t complain much about the food, this is a “kopitiam”. Overall SATISFIED. Owner is very friendly and willing to help. My advise to skip the queue on the weekend , can come at 2pm.

Went there today for my personal favorite Chicken Chop and Roti Babi in KL.
DO note to get there before 12 noon as the crowds are huge here.
The chicken chop is made hainanese style with gravy and potato + peas.
My personal favorite is the savory Roti Babi which is to die for.
For those who don't know what Roti Babi is, it's a matter of x of grilled pork mixed with gravy and vegetables. The meat is wrapped in bread which is then fried with butter on a grill till golden brown..
This place is a definite must eat when you are in Kuala Lumpur.
Always my fave! :)
They also have Kaya Swiss roll but my personal fave is the marble cake which is light and fluffy... Mmmmmmm Yummy!
