This dessert is one of those that’s dying in todays time. Not many places selling this anymore. Madam tangs muah chee has that old school taste and texture to it and I would seriously recommend it. She’s very friendly as well. She had that recorder...playing constantly in the background and you wouldn’t miss the shop.More

MADAM Tang, as she prefers to be known as, sells this signature sweet dish Muah Chee which is rice flour rooled ground nut. There are 10 to 12 flavors but only two on any say. We got lychee flavour which had the unique taste and...aroma. She has been selling for over 50 years and it seems she has perfected the receipe.More

The lady preparing this special chinese dish made of steamed rice, is aged, probably.in her seventies but fully active. Her Muahchees come in various flavours and sprinkled over with peanut powder, a Chinese delicacy and very popular with the locals and tourists. A must try...to get the flavours of China.More

Apparently the best mua chee by a very famous elderly lady, Mdm Tang. There was a line for this & I read reports that sometimes she sells out by 3PM! If you don't know where to locate Mdm Tang, just follow the sound. She plays...a recording of herself shouting/hawking her mua chee on repeat (she has installed speakers in her push cart). Today, there was another stall nearby with a more modern feel - run by 2 youngsters, but no one around me seemed to want that. There is value is old school cool, I guess. But most importantly, her mua chee is really delicious. Silky smooth yet soft & chewy, sprinkled with generous chopped peanuts. I ordered a variety pack of all flavours (5RM): original, mango, pandan, Ribena, black sesame 😁 Yes, I suppose the artificial flavours aren't good for you, but it's not every day that I would eat this, so... YOLO 😉More

Her items are so fresh and it's really nice. Don't get con by the younger couple selling near her. Hers is way nicer! Hand made. You won't regret getting a box from her!

This lady has been selling mochi at the corner of Petaling Street for many decades. She sells the original mochi as well as different flavours like lychee, pandan and mango. It is not the best mochi we have tasted but it is still good enough...for a snack.More
