Waiters here are really nice and take time to serve you and explain everything. Fast service. Unfortunately the cashier this morning was really2 rude. She made us feel stupid and unwelcome. Asked us to get in a line when theres only 2 people queuing up....Ive asked if the breakfast i ordered came with coffee and she rolled her eyes annoyed and replied rudely “no it doesn’t “. Look, i was just asking because i read the promo at the front that said it did for weekdays, and its my first time. Not coming here again. But kudos to the waiters.More

Nice ambience at their cafe, friendly staff and offers good food & coffees. Their bangsar brekkie is our favorite (opt for lamb sausage), waffle with butter chicken is scrumptious. Pancake with ice cream is nice. Every meals are worth with the price as they come...in big portion.More

I have known VCR for a very long time. Back in those days I was still working in Klang Valley, I would head there for breakfast everytime I went downtown for shopping trip. Just a slight detour and I could fill my tummy with yummylicious...food before starting on a shopping spree. By the way, their original outlet was in Jalan Galloway and they have since expanded their operation to include new outlets in Bangsar and Mont Kiara. Located in the popular and busy area of Telawi area, this Bangsar outlet proved to be popular among coffee lovers too. But their strength is not just for the caffeine, and they are also make good food... As attested by my visit to this outlet. ◾VCR English Muffin that came with burger patty, avocado, cheddar cheese and sunny side up duck egg. The duck egg was more fragrant and creamier compared to the chicken egg.. and this version looked like McDonald's Sausage McMuffin.. only more atas and tastier. ◾Scandinavian Breakfast - house-cured gravalax, Skagen, ikura, quick pickled cucumber, ni-tamago and housemate rye toast. Good quality smoked salmon plus, ikura and other ingredients so beautifully plated. Very good healthy option for lunch. ◾Hong Passion - special dessert during lunch only - Coconut Sorbet, Chocolat Soil, Dehydrated Chocolate Mousse, Passin Fruit Curd. Order this.. period! ◾No need to promote much of their coffee... Quality is almost guaranteed. I'll be sure to come again if I happen to be in the vicinity.More

Pleasantly surprised. Beautiful breakfast selection. Lovely cakes. I’d love to see them offer their breakfast selection in the Shoplex Mont Kiara branch too.

VCR Bangsar has nostalgic value for me as it was the first coffee shop that I visited since I moved to KL, and it set the bar pretty high. The coffee is always amazing here, and so is the service. You order at the counter,...but they never forget to bring you water. Little touches like that really matters. The cake is explosive (BOUM) and you should get on a diet for a week, but def worth it. Good vibes overall, and a good place to get stuff done. Also, I love the fact that it opens late.More

Cool cafe with fantastic coffee. I had the superfood salad which was really good (though portion was small). Great place to do a bit of work (lots of power sockets).

Went back to VCR (I prefer the Bangsar option) for brunch. The food was excellent, as usual, and the coffee pretty good. Would rate this as a "4" but the lemon tart is the best tasted anywhere across Asia Pacific so pushes them to a...5.More

Saturday morning, time for an early brunch with friends before a busy day. They do not open till nine, but OK, that is early in KL, I would think. I've had Scandinavian Breakfast, my vegetarian friend avocado toast. Yes, it has a Western vibe and...not much of local flavours, but the food is well prepared, there is no prentense about it and most of all it is delivered still hot, with taste in abundance. Coffee is immaculately prepared, fresh juice is really fresh made from best fruit, service is a bit on a "hi mate" side, but relaxed attentive and highly professional. I hope to be back for a lunch over the short stay this time. Well done VCR Bangsar.More

It’s very lively and very crowded - at least during a recent brunch time on a public holiday. Predominantly young adults, couples and a few families like ours. Noticed there isn’t much ID, just a big bare long moderately-lit space typical of a local shophouse....There is an expansive counter though with a nice dessert display and glimpses of an open kitchen beyond - all very chic industrial-looking. It’s tightly-packed in with utilitarian cafe furniture with many long communal tables. Service by the young team is hyper-energetic and all smiles. They are well trained and they seem to like what they do. With orders of several key breakfast items out of the way, we sat at a communal table to await our food. They came promptly looking freshly prepared, nicely plated and appetising. Portions are good. Food quality is high and some creativity is evident. Overall competence is commendable which shows in its popularity. This comes Recommended.More

Over our regular though not frequent visits to KL, we mostly focus on Asian food, as we try to explore the restaurant scene and enjoy the local produce and flavours. Therefore, an invitation by local friends to a "Western restaurant" as they have described it...was not met with enthusiasm. What a mistake. VCR is serving most delicious brunch meals with attention to details that is fascinating. Sourdough toast with perfectly ripe avocado and not too trendy addition of pomegranate, was served by chicken sausages that were full of flavour and immaculately fried, and a confidently poached egg. French toast came with an ice-cream that was full of flavour and a perfect addition to soft yet crunchy bread in delicious egg coating. The team are balancing what is in essence a trendy food offer with perfect and friendly service and lover of food they serve. Our coffees were prepared as good as they would be in a trendy eateriie in NYC or by a barista in Italy. Great place, with outstanding food, very good service and reasonable though certainly ot cheap prices. We shall be back soon to try out the rest of the promising yet not overambitious menu.More
