We go regularly to Leonardo’s, for years now. It’s a bit tricky to find as you need to locate the door between the restaurants on the ground floor in this street. But once you’re there and climbed the stairs, I suggest you keep climbing to the 2nd floor. It has the same menu iirc, though the 2nd floor has cosy seating arrangements which change the atmosphere. The 1st floor is more formal.
The menu changed recently and some great dishes are no more so 1 star less😅. However, instead there’s now ample choice of cold cuts, including the famous iberico ham which they’ll cut right next to you.
I recommend the meatballs (comes with mashed potatoes and great sauce) and a few cold cuts. Combine this with the house wine and you’re set.
A perfect place for a relaxed evening out for couples or small groups of friends.

Saturday Birthday dinner with girlfriends, lovely ambience, had a great time here , food was pretty good like we ordered the Kentucky fried frog twice , pork satay was tender , beef 🥩 was great 👍🏻 the hokkien noodle fill with lots of pork lard , squid ink pasta was so so . Pork roulette was heavy and 1 piece is enough to make you feel full ! Finally had walnut brownie as birthday cake ( delicious 😋)for the birthday gal !

When it comes to diversification in terms of pork dishes, few places can match Leonardo's Dining Room in Jalan Bangkung, Bangsar. Specialising in everything pork, I can't recall where I can enjoy my hokkien mee and then tuck into my cold cut platter, satay, bah kut teh, and then secreto iberico at the same time. Heck.. they even have suckling pig and Babi guling if you fancy. So many choices available that it will surely strike a chord in each and every family member.
Located on the first floor (and also second floor) of a row of shoplot far away from the more popular Bangsar Telawi area, I was once went back disappointed when I turned out without any reservation (and that was on weekday!).
◾pork satay - 8 heavenly grilled pork skewers that came with sticky rice, cucumber, onion, pineapple and the peanut sauce. When you have moist and juicy marinated pork meat to dip into one of the better peanut sauce (I'm serious), it made the RM44 paid felt worthwhile.
◾Hokkien mee - KL-style hokkien noodles, prawns, pork and cabbage. Nothing spells atas than a RM29 of plate of goodness topped generously with pork lard. Honestly, if you love Hokkien mee, you might find this not enough. But it's definitely lip smackingly delicious.
◾iberico bah kut teh - Klang pork rib BKT complete with a bowl of rice and yau char kway.. you know the usual fare that you go out and eat BKT. The difference is that they used iberico ribs compares to regular ones. I couldn't taste the difference though..as the taste of herbs have overpowered the meat.
◾chorizo iberico - love the cold cut to go with my Australian Shiraz
◾grilled vegetables with romesco sauce - something to balance up the heavy meal.
Such romantic dining environment must be complemented with good wines - and thank God I bought a bottle of good Australian Shiraz which proved to be a good decision.

When I started on my pork knuckle, the meat was tender, but not falling-off-the-bone as I expected. But soon I got closer to the bone and found the meat was still pink. I stopped with 1/2 the dish uneaten. We were always told that pork must be well done - this was not.
I ask the staff about the dish, but there was no response from the chef.
While paying the bill I asked about the pink pork and was toll "Chef says the meat is cooked." No apology.
BTW, I attempted to post a comment onto The Yum List, but my comment never surfaced. Make what you will about that!

It's our first time to this restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday. The lightings were somewhat dim but gave a romantic hue for couples like us. Being not big eaters ( in our late 70s), we asked for our courses to be shared which the restaurant obliging complied. The soup, appetiser, mains and dessert were well presented and tasted great. Special mention goes to the lava cake. I also like to thank and commend AJ who provided superb service and made our evening much more enjoyable. Prices for the food were reasonable but the wine prices seemed on the high side. Will certainly return to try the other dishes though.

Was invited by my friends to check this place out. Nice atmosphere and tasty italian cookings. We manage to try a couple of dishes, cold cuts are nice, pasta is great too and they got quiet a selection of wine to choose from. Surprisingly, they even offer 2 local dishes that are famous in malaysia, which is “bak kut teh” and “hokkien mee”. We didn’t try it but the table next to us did and they smell pretty good.

Limited choice of not so Italian menu entries. Only a few wines which were actually Italian on the wine list. No grappa. No limoncello. Food was barely so-so. Extremely over priced! Recommended name change and that it not be advertised as Italian! If it didn't exist, Leonardo would not have invented it!

Birthday boy & I enjoyed our meal so much!
Pork ribs - when the menu describes it as 'fall off the bone pork ribs', it actually do!! Tender & the sauce was lovely.
The famous pork tenderloin. They suggested the meat to be cooked 'medium well' & it was our first time having pork meat not well done & the results - soft, juicy, tender meat!!! Well-seasoned meat & served with truffle mash.
Chocolate Volcano erupted! The amount of gooey chocolate filling is divine. Served with vanilla ice cream & caramel drizzle (prefer without the caramel drizzle).
We opened a bottle of La Mascota Malbec 2016.
Definitely will go back!

Only my 2nd time visiting Leonardo's. Had my birthday dinner there. I love the iberico pork and NZ lamb we ordered, all cooked to perfection (at least cooked to my preference). When the choc lava came as dessert I thought it would be embarressed for them to sing loudly, thank god they didnt, just came over and wished me instead. Loving the ambiance there. Good service.

Had a good meal. Baked mushrooms with bacon and cheese were good. Aglio olio with zucchini and added bacon also yummy. Decent sized portion. Spinach lasagna looked very good and so did Ranjit's pasta. Affogato was so so good. Coffee strong with a decent shot of Sambuca. Yum yum! Tiramisu also good. Generous portion. Prices are OK. Typical for the area. Service also OK. On the first floor so you do have to go up the stairs

When I don't get to Klang, I go here for their yummy bah kut teh. Apart from that I love their wine loft, it's a great place for a quiet catch up or a noisy gathering of friends
