This is a huge place, open air with lots of fans; and a nice atmosphere if the weather is good.
We only had two dishes (a prawn sambal, and beef with pepper); and both were quite nice.
Although the food took a bit of time to be served, the service was friendly and professional, and the wait staff were always on hand to respond to anything.

I went there without a reservation. I had to wait a little, but I was able to get a seat. It's still safer to make a reservation, as there were many people who did so. They even reserved a seat for a customer who was 30 minutes late.
This is a popular restaurant in Steamport, but hotpot is too much for summer, so I had a light meal of chicken and green vegetables. The price is reasonable, and the taste is easy for Japanese people to eat. I recommend this restaurant to those who want to eat Chinese food without disappointment in Kuala Lumpur. There were a lot of Japanese people there. It may be listed in the tourist guide. It's in an easily visible place from the street.

It is a great pleasure to be back here for dinner with celebration of early Chinese New Year 2024 and birthday celebration. Great Hakka dishes with pork crispy knuckle with pork belly every deliciously made that melts into your mouth.
Blend fresh and tender cod fish served with every ready made yee sang and their signature tofu blend mince meat with their famous flavouring homemade. Not forgetting fresh Hakka vegetable and stir fried brinjal and awesomely made and the local dish is a must to order Is their Sweet Sour Pork. End the martial evening with sweeten pancakes and sea coconut and. Birthday chocolate cake. 🎂🎂

We walked in for dinner without any reservation and was informed by the Chinese man who was at the front entrance that they are fully booked.
He was so snobbish and did not respond when we asked if we should book for next day dinner visit.
His rudeness is at an unacceptable level and when we told him off he retaliated by using foul language.
Embarrassing to say my visitors who were here on summer holiday was aghast at his behaviour.
Looks like we would not be visiting this restaurant any time soon or at all as it was our first time wanting to try out Hakka cuisine.

This huge establishment is very well located in the Bukit Bintang/Golden Triangle area of Kuala Lumpur with ample parking available.
Service was average. They seem to be in a hurry to take your orders, get you fed, and if you're not ordering buckets and buckets of beer, shoosh you outta there. I have been wrong before so there you go.
Food is average as I've tasted way better. It is somewhat pricey. I think it has a lot to do with location.
I would not visit again unless I'm brought there and choice is not mine.

We ordered 4 dishes for 5 pax. The Salted Fish minced pork, Tofu minced pork and fried rice were all delicious. The only dish which my family thought not good was the sambal tapioca leaves which does not have any dried shrimps and too little sambal.
It has parking lots in the compound.
Value for money meal.

Great food in an “outdoor” setting right in the middle of CBD just adjacent to Pavillion shopping complex.
This place was packed and for a good reason. Food was delicious.
Mainly Chinese food and in particular the crab dishes were well cooked and tasty.
If you are looking for something in the city conveniently located with great tasting Chinese food, give this a try. It’s packed with the locals and for a good reason!
Highly recommended

This 50+ years old restaurant is right in the middle of KL next to the Pavilion
, it is large with about 50+ tables of various sizes and outdoor. It is like a zhi char but Hakka cuisine. Service food atmosphere is fantastic!!!

This is a mega restaurant that runs like clockwork...quite a sight. It has a good mix of locals and local expats - but it is not touristy! It is authentic and and genuine in terms of the flavours offered and the extensive menu. Something for everyone!
The sea food was succulent and the depth of flavour was most satisfying. The duck was crunchy where it needed to be yet succulent and delicious.
We ordered way too much having missed out on lunch and walked so much...our server told us to stop ordering (always a good sign of authenticity!) but we did anyway...and pretty much devoured everything.
The service was always attentive, always quick and always on time! The food, despite the size of the restaurant, arrived hot and fresh.
Loved this place and will recommend without hesitation for anyone who wants an immersive dive into local cuisine!

The couple from Perth were on next table to us talking to another couple from UK Obviously didn’t realise we could understand them, we were waiting for our food and were not looking forward to it due to the remarks they were making about the food. When our food came, we had no complaints food was nice and if anything we maybe ordered too much. What we had only cost about £35 for the 2 of us, back home in uk it would probably be more than double. With regards to the captain being unpleasant, I found they were more unpleasant and rude speaking quite loudly clearly not realising that the staff can understand English perfectly well.

They serve good food & service. Even though the dishes are not 100% Hakka but it is still delicious. The only thing the restaurant need to improve is :-
1. Communication during reservation, we are a group of 10 pax, and the restaurant informed us that due to the current Covid19 MCO a table of 10 pax is not allowed so we will have to split into 2 tables, therefore all the dishes have to be x2, some common sharing food cannot be serve in different table. Therefore I'd made a wide range of selection based on each individual's preference and decide who sit on which table so that the restaurant can serve the right dish to the right person. On the day of event, one of us couldnt make it and the pax reduced to 9 pax. The restaurant then said we are able to sit on the same table and cancelled the food I ordered earlier on, we will have to spend at least 10mins to re-select the dish. Whats the different between having to have a 9 seaters & 10 seats on the same table?
2. Sequence of serving the food is not in order, the restaurant seems like rushing into everything, 4-5 dish being serve at the same time. It is a traditional Chinese restaurant that serve Chinese dishes that is suppose should be in orders, but the restaurant is rushing it, which made the table having insufficient space to place on more dish, and the waiter & waitress are rushing us to finish our foods so that they can rush out for the other foods as well. Lol
These are the 2 main points that needed to be improve, shall visit again. But recommend to double & triple confirm with the reservations because they always have serious communication breakdown between the reservations & the kitchen.

Food is severely overrated and overpriced. Seems more like a tourist trap.
Horrible service, tried to approach the staff multiple times and was rudely waved away.
Would have given the review a zero if I had the choice to. Would strongly advice against anyone from dining here.

This was the worst dinner that my mother and I had in our week in KL! This was recommended by both the Shangri-La and Traders Hotel but was not good at all. We ordered the crispy chicken (which was very bland and dry), pork ribs (overcooked but ok), sweet and sour pork (this was good) and vegetarian fried rice (this was the best dish we had). Also the ‘captain’ of the night needs to learn to smile as she is very rude and drags the restaurant down even further not too mentioned she laughed at us when we complained. Would not recommend!

We had spring rolls, pork and fish omelette, lemon chicken, baked prawns with butter and egg and fried rice. We had small portions of everything but they were more than enough. The service was very efficient. The price was 230R including two large beers. The menu is huge. Good value and good food. Recommended.
