Average Chinese but in breezy outdoor setting.. Be careful to check fresh fish prices.. they tend to charge by weight and its very pricey

Decided to visit this place after reading so many positive reviews on Tripadvisor. In contrast to the skyscrapers nearby, Hakka Restaurant is a rarely large establishment in Kuala Lumpur, especially in the commercial area. Food is the old-fashioned fare. Thus, taste is significantly on the...heavy side.Service is fair and price slightly on the upper end. Mosquito can be an issue as the whole place is outdoor.More
This huge establishment is very well located in the Bukit Bintang/Golden Triangle area of Kuala Lumpur with ample parking available. Service was average. They seem to be in a hurry to take your orders, get you fed, and if you're not ordering buckets and buckets...of beer, shoosh you outta there. I have been wrong before so there you go. Food is average as I've tasted way better. It is somewhat pricey. I think it has a lot to do with location. I would not visit again unless I'm brought there and choice is not mine.More
Despite the large volume of patrons, the wait for our food ordered was not long at all. And the Chinese food served here is very absolutely delicious. The location is beautifully lighted, spacious and airy. Fresh vegetables, fresh fish, lovely Tofu options, amazing Chinese desserts....I cannot ask for better.More
prepare the gangster Indian come and collect your parking fee. different ppl they collect different fee if you drive luxury car prepare they ask you Moree...this its the real how they rob your money..the real gangster India you can find here..
Food is severely overrated and overpriced. Seems more like a tourist trap. Horrible service, tried to approach the staff multiple times and was rudely waved away. Would have given the review a zero if I had the choice to. Would strongly advice against anyone from...dining here.More
Was there last Saturday with my family and the food a bit salty and they put a lot of MSG. Very thirsty after the meal. As for the Chinese man in front, you must know how to handle him. All in all, food and service...is average. Got my food in short time. Will I go 2nd time? Probably not unless invited by friends or colleagues.More
After flying for 36 hours into Malaysia, we decided to pop over to have dinner as we were on a layover at Equatorial Kuala Lumpur for the next couple of weeks, we were dropped off at the restaurant & was rudely greeted by a Chinese...man at the entrance indicating that there’s no place in view of it’s being fully booked. We proceed to inquire politely if we could place a reservation for the next day, we were shocked that he shouted with profanity as though we had offended him; our bodyguards intervene & he had the audacity to challenge us to a fight out. Is this how your restaurant treat foreign guests? You employ thugs for your front office. I would strongly not recommend your restaurant to my fellow countryman whom is visiting Malaysia to even eat at your place.More
We walked in for dinner without any reservation and was informed by the Chinese man who was at the front entrance that they are fully booked. He was so snobbish and did not respond when we asked if we should book for next day dinner...visit. His rudeness is at an unacceptable level and when we told him off he retaliated by using foul language. Embarrassing to say my visitors who were here on summer holiday was aghast at his behaviour. Looks like we would not be visiting this restaurant any time soon or at all as it was our first time wanting to try out Hakka cuisine.More
Great food but rude people, still worth it...easy to find car parkin, right behind pavillon mall. I suggest going at least once..
Food ok and service good, but they keep a dog in a small cage behind the restaurant. Just hope they feed it :(
Came here for family dinner, great selection of local Chinese food, loads of space for large groups, they have a closeable roof, so when it rains your good but when it’s open it has a great view of the city
We always visit Hakka when in town. It's a great place for groups due to large table size and family style meals. Food is tasty and reasonably priced. Service is fantastic, staff are very attentive and refill drinks quickly. Hakka is in a great location,...right next to Pavillion.More
It is always great and awesome to be back here once again for a wonderful dinner meal. With the lovely signature dish of smash tofu - mince pork meat with eggs and vegetable, crabs with lovely egg soup, and stir fried sweet potatoes with authentic...crispy pork ribs marmite, and their specialty of deep fried fish with salted with pepper sotongs, with lovely freshly made popiah to end the Beto cup Sunday night evening. 😋😋😋More
