Went here today, Saturday 25/1/20. Chinese New Year, 1st day of lunar month. About 11.30am. Very busy. As you walk to the left side of the temple, there is some food, fruits and sweets you can get, box for donation. Keep walking and you will get to main food area, help yourself and proceed to cashier. Lots of choices, all delicious and healthy. For our three plates it was 20 ringgit and 1.50 ringgit for glass of drink. Fruit also for sale, not sure how much. I saw pineapple and pear (I think). There’s also stalls selling curry Mee and other foods. In the main seating area there is tea and sweet bowl of desert to help youself. We got here on the green go KL free bus. The stop was right in front of the temple. The stop is called Wisma Atlan. Press the bell after the Citibank stop. The bus has announcements telling you what stop is next.

This is my favourite place to visit when I’m in Kuala Lumpur for delicious vegan Chinese food! There are numerous dishes to choose from and they all vegan! It’s also super cheap so you don’t have to be afraid to indulge but you should be respectful and not waste the food you put on your plate! This place gets super busy at lunchtime so it’s best to come early or bring a container to go as the seats do start to disappear by this time!

If you are in Central KL at lunch time you need to give this place a go! Lots of locals go here for lunch, and I now know why. So much to choose from and everything is absolutely delicious! Definitely a hidden gem in KL.

Tucked amongst the busy commercial district, just a stone's throw from KLCC this Guan Yin temple one of the oldest in Kuala Lumpur. The vegetarian meals is excellent at a very affordable price. Be early as they sell out by 1pm plus.

Some of the best vegan + vegetarian food you will find in KL! Very very cheap for the amount of food and quality. Food is served in a buffet style with options: mock meats, variety of rice, noodles, soups, all kinds of veg sauces. To top it all they have lots of vegan baked desserts available at a cheap price too. It can get busy in there around 12-1... seems like a popular place to have lunch for office workers. This is a food heaven for you, especially if you’re vegan!

If you are looking for a vegetarian lunch in KL, this is the place for you. It offers a daily vegetarian buffet with dozens of dishes to chose from, for less than 10 MYR. Enjoy your meal!

A iconic tourist spot, temple is replete with alms, idols and chanting sessions by monks. Behind the temple is a huge eatery, a haven for vegans. Place gets packed by 12:00pm noon, even as large as it is. Plenty of tasty vegetarian dishes, more than enough for your fancy, just be wary not to pile to much on your plate. Waste not food. Four Vegan veggies only MYR 6.80

We arrived around 11:30am to stay ahead of the work day lunch crowd. The temple is quaint and serene, but not spectacular in itself. However, the vegetarian buffet lunch is amazing! Lots of variety and flavours, a plate of which costs around 5-6MR. You just walk around the buffet and serve yourself then the cashier at the end tells you how much it is. Lots of smiles and friendly people working there. There are also lots of sweet treats and fruit available for purchase.

I think visiting the temple and having a meal in their canteen area is a great experience in itself. I have never had an experience like this in a non-Indian temple before, so I would highly recommend it. The food itself is OK, but there are a LOT of options and the prices are very cheap. You don't really know what the different dishes are as they are all kept in containers next to each other, and you have to serve yourself. At the end, the cashier looks at what you have in your plate and charges accordingly.

We were, quite literally, spoilt for choice. Being Vegan travellers isn't always easy. The choices here were amazing as was the food. This is part of the Chinese Buddhist Temple about 300 metres from KLCC Twin Towers. Food is charged by the quantity, it is inexpensive even with a full plate

Went there twice (would have gone more often but parking is a problem). We were delighted to find a place that serves only vegetarian food so that you could heap anything on your plate that looked good without having to questions its origin. In a country so obsessed with eating chicken it was just such a wonderful experience! The food tastes amazing and is really cheap. Some friendly smiles and Dharma quotes are thrown in for free. Be there a couple of minutes before noon to avoid the rush (though the food is well worth waiting in line for). They are only open for lunch. There is a buffet as well as stalls serving different specials each day of the week.

Awesome food. Great selection of pure vegetarian food behind the temple. It used to be a secret tip for local people but at lunch time it has become a major canteen. The food is still great but the masses of people standing in line and eating take away from the serene atmosphere which existed here before. The combination of a temple visit and lunch was what made this place excellent before. Now, the temple is closed for people who look like a tourist (unfortunately I look like a caucasian) and the canteen is overrun with office people. Still, the food is great and the price is low.
