Well, where do I start? Bistro French food in a budget setting for at a fine dining price tag. The French food, less than mediocre. Tried the duck confit, foie gras appetiser turned out quite bland. Escargot was dry. Food presentation like something anyone could...do at home on any given day. Fries were so soggy the moment it was served, waitress said "memang macam ini" (that's how it is). Soup turned out too fishy, nothing was done about it despite our comment. The pastas were good though, well done! But we didn't go to a French restaurant to have pasta. All in all, you can find much better authentic French food and ambience for the same price or less.More

Come here for the foie gras! Whenever I notice a French restaurant, I will make it a point to visit it because a good French restaurant is not easy to find. My last ever trip to Paris was in 2012 - almost 10 years now...- and the memory of having a romantic lunch or dinner with the other half came to mind. So I noticed this unassuming French restaurant in Solaris Dutamas (or Publika as I like to call it) when I finished having coffee in this area. The timing couldn't be more perfect as it was slightly after MCO, and the crowd has not come back in full force yet. Both of us literally had the whole restaurant for ourselves that evening. ◾ Escargots à la Lyonnaise - cooked with herbs and butter & served with toasted bread. Personally I'd prefer for the Escargots to be served in the shells rather than what I'd got, but I was too hungry at that moment so polished the plate in no time. ◾Assiette de charcuterie de Canard - essentially a duck platter with dry duck breast; 2 types of smoked breast + truffle duck mousse & gizzard confit with breads on the side). ◾Magret de Canard Confit, Sauce à l'Orange - duck breast confit with orange sauce.. gotta love when the meat was done medium with a side of potato and salad. Perfect with my Shiraz ◾Foie Gras - they sold by it gram and if my memory served me right, it wasn't expensive and I ordered it because I love liver. Served with crispy biscotti. Nothing a good bottle of Shiraz would not do to help alleviate the mood of the evening. This place is like a hidden gem in the ever popular Publika. The whole restaurant was quite spacious, cosy with a good service team to attend to us.More

The food is French bistro, rather than fine dining. So there are typical items such as beef bourguignon, duck confit as well as more unusual items such as a duck burger. There were quite a few duck based dishes, only 1 fish and 1 chicken,...so not much choice if you are not fond of duck. The portions are generous for the price, which were quite reasonable for the area. The chef came round to ask how things were which was nice. Had a good meal and would recommend!More

this restaurant has just opened few month ago during the Covid 19 , very brave from this young couple ( french chef and Malaysian wife ) managing this brasserie restaurant . they do not have they "alcohol licence " hence you can bring your own...bottle for the time being with a small corkage charge . a very good value lunch at this restaurant , the chef owner came to ask us at the end of the meal , his wife is very pleasant . if our lunch was to our satisfaction ! and yes it was we had for appetizer a cold platter with mixed pate , gizzard , smoked duck etc maybe the chef could add some few leaves , followed by a duck burger ( home made french fries )and duck ravioli, good portion overall , dessert looked good but too much for lunch. food is pork free as the wife is Muslim . i small critic too many dishes with Duck , it is not the favorite meat of the Malaysian especially the Malays . i admire those young entrepreneur opening a restaurant during this difficult crisis , wishing them good luck but we need to support this upcoming restaurant Capricorn ThailandMore

Came here for dinner with a friend. We had a personal service from the owners themselves. Such a friendly couple. The ambience is great and the music is nice to have a conversation over. The food is authentic and the prices are fair. And I...have to agree with Jean L, the creme brulee is a must try!More

The authenticity of the food here makes the visits worthwhile. Their duck salad has dried duck which is cured by the chef himself. The duck ravioli is simply amazing and freshly made. Be sure to try their gazpacho too; one of the best I have...ever had! They even have a wide selection of food for lunch which is both affordable and delicious. Definitely becoming one of my favourite restaurants in town!More

This restaurant is not easy to find, located at the back of Publika. Don't be fooled by their chic internet site, this restaurant is not chic. We went there for lunch and unfortunately we were disappointed. The atmosphere is very simple with french music in...the background. We were the only customers for lunch on that day. Food was below average, escargot were obviously from a can or frozen, overcooked and dry, the steak was overcooked (asked medium and had well done) and had a blend aspect: no grilling marks, so I think they just pan fry the meat (??), fries were good though. Finished with a horrible paris-brest, very soggy and obviously more than 1 day old or frozen. If you appreciate bistro food, then yeast in Bangsar is much better. My friend took a caesar salad without croutons (which was weird), and had a very dry duck confit with a very weird sauce. The chef is French but I doubt he has any proper kitchen/chef training. The presentation and technique were very simple and similar to something you could make at home. As a conclusion, this restaurant serves below average bistro food and you have better options in that price range (Yeast, French feast, chez gaston). If they want to survive, they should remove all can/frozen food from their menu and concentrate on serving fresh food: salads, croque-monseur, tartins, steak frites, maybe offer a fish dish and of course dessert should be fresh and made at restaurant. I prefer to eat a simple plate of fresh strawberries with a home made whipped cream than a soggy tart/cake bought frozen or that has sat in the fridge for more than 48h. Unless they change their menu quickly, I will not return.More

Its so exciting to have this good authentic French Restaurant in KL! You get fine-dining quality meal and experience at a reasonable price. Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had the Duck breast with sweet & sour sauce and pasta with duck breast slices + mushroom sauce. The...duck meat is so juicy and tasty I absolutely loved it! The sweet and sour duck breast comes with hand-cut fries that are superb and perfectly fried (must try too). If you are a duck lover, then Le Gourmadin is for you as they have a range of duck dishes on the menu! To our pleasant surprise, the portion for a french cuisine is bigger than your usual french cuisine. The desserts are amazing too. The fruit tart is so delicious and full of berries topped with delicious cream. I'd also go there again just for the desserts! The chef is a French so you'll be sure to get Authentic French Food :) Service & Environment: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service was good and the staffs were friendly and helpful. If you are unfamiliar with the french dishes, fret not because the staff will take their time to explain to you. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable distance between tables. Very comfortable for big group dining. I will definitely go back for more and cant wait to try out other dishes. Highly recommended if you want to explore French cuisine :)More

My husband and I saw this newly opened French Restaurant in Publika, and we decided to give it a try, and we totally love it! Environment: A very cozy place suitable for couples & families. The interior is very spacious, could be a nice place...to host private event too. Service: The staff were very attentive and friendly, introduced us their signatures with full of passion. Make us feel at ease and relax :) Food⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ : This is the main factor that i rated 5 stars for Le Gourmandin! We ordered grilled duck breast and duck burger, and we were so surprised that the portion were big, not the typical fine dining portion for a French cuisine you can get anywhere else. Most importantly, the food are extremely delicious! The duck burger is a must-order when you visit, it is not patty style but juicy duck meat slices instead, with a touch of truffle oil to enhance the flavour. We were pleasantly surprise with their starters and desserts too! We will definitely come back again to try other dishes on the menu! If you love duck dishes, this is a place for you :)More
