Sourdough toastie & a beetroot chicken burger for the misses, both were top drawer. Side fries were good as well, if you’re in Chinatown and need a break from the chicken golden coin meat stand this place works a treat.

Myself and my girlfriend are travelling around Asia and this place is the worst food we have eaten. The staff are very rude and unhelpful we were pointed towards the app on the table to order however because we had to sign up on via...text messages, we did not have this available on our E-Sim. Eventually the staff just took our order manually. The food is nothing less than disgusting. I took one bite from the chicken burger I ordered and left it as I knew that this so called food would have made me very sick. The burger was supposed to be chicken but it was just dipped in a thick flour batter and deep fried until burned. My girlfriend ordered eggs on toast and the eggs tasted sweet and strange, this place is a health hazard. Totally inedible. I would not give this food to a dog. Eat here at your own risk.More

Great food we came early as my children were starving today! We got burgers and Mac n cheese. The food was good but they’d run out of a lot of the dishes even though only7pm.

If Chinatown is a spot you still find yourself unfamiliar with, Vintage 1988 is a place with lots of options and good food. Service is fast, the food is made fresh, and the music well selected making the the overall ambience comfortable and easy. They...have a barista that whips up great cafe favorites as well. This place is perfect for those who are still easing into Malaysia’s local cuisine. A solid 4/5 for me.More

We stumbled upon this Cafe while walking around in search of coffee. Bingo! We found this nice place, located in a corner of the Petaling Street Chinatown area. Very friendly staff, nice olden times setting. Placing your order was simplified by just scanning the QR...code on your table. You will find menu n even payment is done while sitting at your place. Then just wait for your food n drinks to be served. Really enjoyed the environment. Must come here again some other day. Wonderful.More

Strategically located round the corner from Petaling Street, the café has nice vibes, welcoming staff. Burgers are their specialty but I always cave in whenever I see the word “truffle” and this was no exception. Or rather, this was the exception as there was nothing...truffled about my order, “Truffled mushroom on toast”. Disappointingly, it turned out to be a plain mushroom omelette with an equally plain bunch of salad and cherry tomatoes. Not even a drizzle or a whiff of truffle oil or dressing or any other condiments for that matter. Set me back 19 ill spent bucks. The other order was their double classic cheeseburger 25 bucks. That was okay but you know how it is for burgers costing a quarter of a hundred bucks.. the usual one would expect. Still, what the café has going for it is the ambience and trained staff. So yes, do give the café a try if you’re in the area.More

Many new hipster cafes have sprung up in Chinatown over the years. Vintage 1988 is one of them. With nostalgic interior in a ‘80s ambience, it is gradually drawing coffee lovers. It is spacious and open. Cosy and dim inside. Located at the junction of...Jalan Sultan and Jalan Hang Jebat, it is a nice place to have a cuppa in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. It is about 2 minutes walk from The 5 Elements Hotel. We enjoyed the coffee here. It was smooth and slightly bitter. The avocado smash on toasted bread was a little buttery. They have other small eats to choose from. Service is friendly from the young crew. Good job.More

We went in here a couple of times for their food. Avocado mash and toast stands out as being memorable, as were their burgers. Very good selection both lunch time and later.
