First off, this is a review on their food delivery and not dine-in Service: We placed the order via Whatsapp and was greeted by a polite & informative customer service who made pretty good recommendations. Packaging: From a by-stander’s point of view, not knowing what...was within, it looks more like a beautifully wrapped gift set emitting an extremely seductive scent of truffle Spring Signature (RM 198) 1 x Dried Longan Bread Loaf 1 x Truffles Butter (100g) 1 x Kulim Butter (80g) 1 x Soup of the Day 1 x Mushroom & Summer Truffles Penne 1 x Saute Vegetables 2 x Pomme Puree with Homemade Duck Bacon 1 x Pumpkin Puree 2 x Slow Cooked Duck Leg 1 x Torched Baby Cabbage Taste: The promise of providing a no-frills personalised dining experience at an affordable price, seems ambitious but Skillet has begged to differ. Just the amount of food that came out from the box alone was enough for us to go back & take a second look at the receipt. Portions were fit for a royal banquet, presentation & plating was more of an art. After recovering from having been run over by the charging smell of truffle, we dug into the banquet laid before us. The freshly baked dried longan bread emitted a crunch as we peeled it apart to reveal the soft fluffy texture within. The thought of the juiciness of the duck finished off with a touch of cranberry makes us hungry all over again. The penne was al dente with a sprinkle of freshly shaved truffle accompanied by a rich & creamy mushroom sauce. The texture of the soup of the day was creamy & had a rich flavour of broccoli delighting the diner with each spoonful. We concluded the meal with a customized Cempedak tart fulfilling their promise of a personalized dining experience. Price: Reasonable for the quality & variety of food Recommended? Though some may say they were trying to hard, we think they were simply delivering their mouth watering promise in the form of a gift box set to lift one’s spirits Our full review is on Instagram (@monk3yseendo)More

I really enjoyed my in dining experience a few months ago and was excited to see that Skillet were doing takeouts. The quality and price is absolutely fantastic and it was like having a private chef to cook your dinner! The food arrived very warm...and was very flavourful. Along with the takeaway I ordered some breads and butter and they are incredible...my favourite is the Sambal butter! Thank you for the great takeout experience.More

I would like to commend the team at Skillet at 163 especially Sean for their excellent customer service. I ordered the Summer Feast and Wagyu Burger to be delivered for my sister’s birthday as she could not dine out due to MCO. The food came...beautifully presented , on time was fresh and tasty. The team was especially wonderful in accommodating the delivery time and also labelled all the food and included a special touch with a lovely card and sparkles. These additional touches made the meal special for my sister dining at home.More

Came here for lunch today and their spring menu was absolutely fantastic. Every flavour on the plate worked and complimented each other. I was very impressed with the knowledge that the waiters had on each dish. You can feel the pride that everyone has working...in this place. Thank you to Mohsin and Chelle for making us feel welcome!More

In October 2019 I visited Beta (sister restaurant of Skillet) and rated their Skillet x Beta experience 5 stars. Having visited Skillet last weekend, I have to say that that rating is limited only to Beta or that collaboration. I paid about RM430 for a...dinner at Skillet for 2 pax (Discovery Menu, no special items & 2 glasses of the house pour wine). The cured salmon appetizer was too fishy, the main dish chicken was very mediocre, the sous-vide salmon was under-seasoned, not well cooked inside and too dry somehow, caramelised macadamia nuts were too hard & the presentation of the final dessert (I believe it was panna cotta, no explanation was given) was laughable. Also, we were seated upstairs and the waiter's decorum was not of the standard one would expect of an establishment like this and when it came time to call for the bill, no wait staff were around; we ended up walking downstairs to call for the bill. The disappointment is compounded by the fact that it was a special occasion; the food and experience cannot justify the price paid.More

It was our fourth time in Skillet over the last year and we are are happy to share that every time it tops our expectations. Skillet has won over the prize that was held by Sabayon in food diversity and its creative presentation, although there...was no competition at all. Skillet at 163 is working for a bit less than 6 years and it has build its reputation among a trendsetters and food lovers who appreciate the knowledge of preserving the nutritious elements of food and its unique presentation style. Chef Raymond has a his signature in every dish and it's well educated and trained to make your food beautiful for the eyes and tasted amazing. We couldn't have asked for more. We have opt for four corse degustation menu (one can choose between three, four and five courses). We asked them to taylor the ingredinets since one person has a special diet (gluten and dairy free). They did it with pleasure and ease, although it was not noted in the reservation. Take a look at the photos and see it for your self. The tastes were pure joy. The duck is the best in KL, it reminded us on Budapest Hungarian capital, were we had the best duck ever. Prices are moderate, for our menu and a bottle of a red wine Rioja we spent 800RM. Make a reservation in advance since is very popular and trendy place. We love our place next to the window but note that most places are in the middle room. Service is excellent and professional, mr.M, thank you! If you like the degustation menu dinning you will love this place! We are coming back soon 👍More

We had lunch here at Skillet during MCO 2.0. The set lunch menu was RM75 for 2 courses and RM88 for 3 courses. There are top ups for certain dishes on the menu. We tried the Hokkaido Scallop yee sang which was such a brilliant...twist to the usual CNY delicacy. The scallops were large and fresh. Our friend had the foie gras truffle egg custard which was actually a chawan mushi. It tasted amazing and what was nice was that the truffle was shaved at the table. My main course duck confit was delicious as well. For dessert we had the fromage. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted very good. Service was friendly and wonderful as well. Would love to come back again and again.More

We had an early birthday lunch for a dear friend. The restaurant has a bright and cheerful ambience and the COVID SOPs were well executed. We picked the 3-course set lunch. I had the salmon beetroot as a starter which was beautifully presented as a...flower, which was followed by a sorbet comprising of raw oyster in a bed of kedondong purée, lemongrass and lemon juice-the combination worked wonderfully-it was zesty and refreshing. I had the duck confit as mains-the duck leg was roasted to perfection and the cherry sauce set off the gamey taste of the meat. I finished with the chocolate and roasted macadamia nuts which was arranged beautifully with the thin dark chocolate pieces set atop a strip of salted caramel and macadamia. The restaurant did not charge us corkage, which is a welcome change. Well done to Chef Raymond and Sean who served our food with cheerful enthusiasm and patience. We will definitely return to this delightful restaurant.More

They do serve vegetarian dishes. You can speak to the server. The signature Texture of Chocolate is something special they have for celebration. Suggest you order that.
