Makan Kitchen is a unique dining experience that offers no less than six of Malaysia’s most popular and distinctive cuisines. Besides the more well-known Malay, Chinese and Indian, we also specialise in lesser-known exotic cuisines of Kristang, Nyonya, and Iban. A rich variety of flavours is presented in three interactive kitchens and the dining experience is further enhanced with our distinct dining areas, including our unique long house seating as well as several private dining rooms.

Went to the buffet for dinner and was mightily impressed. They have malaysian, western, and even another room with Chinese cuisine. Fresh seafood, deserts, included coffee, I could go on.
Divyansh was attentive and professional and all staff were helpful with explaining dishes and where everything was located.
If you're around the area you should pop in for sure

Having my slot for breakfast from 9.30am to 11.00am, came in at 10.10 am , the restaurant are full due to full occupancy for new year Eve
Buffet during covid time are no longer taken by yourself like previously but the food are assisted by staff standing in front the line. Just tell the staff what you want, and they will scoop it for you
Hash brown are crunch on the outside and soft on the inside, teh tarik are abit tad sweet with 2 other juices offer like guava and orange.
A lot hotel has soft cold pastries but at makan kitchen , it’s different. I enjoy the pastries as it is fresh and crunchy to bite
A lot varieties of food just there are no Japanese section. I truly enjoy their crispy pastries and croissants

All of their options are really delicious. Me and my wife prefer to have our quality time here. 😂 (Who in the world can say eating food can't be considered quality time 🤔)

We have a birthday dinner at the Makan Kitchen last Saturday, we are happy with the foods, especially the Satay! We are happy that the team do provide us the complimentary birthday cake as special amenities for my friends and do give us a private table. However, we just feel a bit disappointed that the area we have seated is quite hot and there is lots of plate in our table and we do saw some staffs has passed by, but no one is coming to clear the plate. Overall, we are satisfied with the arrangement and food provided.

I’ve been having breakfast here every morning during my business visit and with all the variety available, I’ve not had the same food twice! The buffet is sumptuous to say the least. The fare is local to Chinese to western. The service is, as I’ve come to expect, the envy of what is available in western countries. They bend over backwards to accommodate and to serve. And best of all, my so very friendly server, Seinahm Krishna, brings me fresh squeezed orange juice every morning!

During our recent stay for 4 nights, we had breakfast in Makan Kitchen each morning. It wasn't quite the usual spread but was still a buffet, assisted/served by the staff, and that worked well and the food was up to its usual standard, although the pastries are frequently disappointing.
We also treated ourselves to the Saturday Buffet Dinner, which also included the Indian and Chinese sections, on an assisted basis. The dishes were more interesting than previously and we really enjoyed it, especially the roast duck from the Chinese and the various meats from the charcoal grill. Note this was an Asian spread - no salads or bread this time.
Must also say that Mr Beebob and Mr Ganesh and all their team were welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout, even when the restaurant was very busy.

We’ve been dining in Makan Kitchen since 2012, celebrating birthdays, CNY, friends and family gatherings etc. We love every staff at Makan Kitchen, they’ve always been so welcoming and accommodating to all our special requests. Everyone always made us feel like home whenever we dine there. We even got a surprise decoration when we celebrated my mom’s birthday in Makan Kitchen last year. Love love love everyone in Makan Kitchen! ❤️ The food quality and taste is always consistent throughout the years, our favourite is the satay, it’s the best! Makan Kitchen is also very open and receptive to feedbacks and suggestions, they always strive to improve for the better which is why we always always return.

Amazing iftar/buka puasa buffet spread.
So many options of malay/indian and chinese food.
Roasted duck was delicious, they have lovely satay, grilled seafood were fresh and flavourful sauces. Drinks and dessert options were plentyful.
Service team were fast, we didnt have to wait long to be served and despite having to cater to such a big crowd - theyre still all smiling and friendly. Shout out to natasya, for being so welcoming and helpful.
All in all, good place for itar/buka puasa gathering. Strict SOPs in serving food and wearing mask were practised.

Staff are really friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. The range of breakfast food on offer is more than adequate (not just the usual buffet of eggs, toast and ham) for everyone to find something they like. Restaurant is not overly crowded, with an area set aside for Gold/Diamond members. Staff were always on hand to refill drinks too.

The taste of the food is good but the choices are very limited, only Malay Indian and Chinese cuisine. I won't call it Chinese cuisine because it is halal, probably call it Chinese Muslim style. Also, there wasn't any proper seafood spread/cuisine.
I don't remember taking any photo because there's nothing worthy of social media.

Makan Kitchen located in Double Tree Hotel by Hilton, buffet dinner dishes with Chinese New Year Eve here are good & delicious, there are local foods plus Japanese salmon. Admin staff & waiter are in good services & helpful. Am rank food at 10 & staff services rank at 10 too.
Definitely will recommend friends & relatives for their special occasion celebration.
TQ once again for the courtesy & politely services during our dine in on 31/01/2022 falls on Chinese New Year Eve are-union dinner night. Good blessed & Have a good day. Regards.

Had a wonderful experience at Makan Kitchen and to be honest Mr. Seingam Krishna (a trainee) makes it more comfortable. He makes sure you are helped with any of your food requirements. If you just observe him, he is there for everyone and reaches out to them for anything he can help for. A very good resource for Makan Kitchen Malaysia - hats off to the recruitment team ! Get more resources like him ! Brilliant job ! I take a snap of him , so people visiting look for him before he catches you and give you the best service :) !

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff like Fely and Ain is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good and for their prices it’s 100% worth it.

I stayed with my family at DoubleTree Kuala Lampur and we choose the breakfast option while booking the accommodation. We loved the diverse cuisines and the flavors available for breakfast buffet - Malay, Chinese, Indian, Continental. Lot of options to choose from and we loved trying different food everyday.

I've tried Makan Kitchen's @ Double Tree KL for breakfast and dinner a few times and everytime, they have never dissappinted me.
1) Food spread is phenomenal- from the Malay,Indian to Chinese kitchens- the food is delicious and very authentic.
2) Dessert is delicious and despite dining there a couple of times, the menu items changes.
3) Staff are friendly and welcoming. Special mention to Harlida (Ida) for her hospitality and service. Love how the staff would recommend guests with their 'day special' items.
4) Despite not loving the rooms at DoubleTree KL much due to lack of maintenance (I experienced bad shower issues) and extremely slow lifts (6 lifts and and you still need to wait for a while to get on one), I would still dine at Makan Kitchen for the high quality service and delicious food.
5) Hotel location is good- close to most KLCC and even the hotel itself is location inside a mall.
