The restaurant is just right next to the main entrance/exit of KL's Bird's Park and you may just conveniently move over for dining. Good varieties of western and local food, and the price is considered OK considering the location at the tourist spot. Taste is average. If you dont come with big group or small children, suggest to sit at the deck outside, so that you can overlook the park, enjoy the natural environment and hornbill flying across.

The coffee is the only place were you can eat or drink and see birds. But it's expensive we had 4 fresh juice, a combo chicken and fish nuggets and 2 tropical sundaes and the bill was 148 RM. Wifi perfect to grab a car if you don't have internet.

Very tasty food, although the prices are a little steep. I highly recommend the curry as this is delicious but the Nasi lemak was a bit dry. The staff are really friendly and attentive which is brilliant, and the location is perfect for the national mosque too. All in all, I’d go again.

We opted to go to the KL Bird Park after a hard morning's sightseeing. we were able to snag a table outside and were immediately joined by a hungry looking egret who clearly fancied our lunch. Service was swift and efficient and the dishes were huge. I opted for Nasi Lemak which included chicken and squid, while my partner opted for Fried Mee Mamak - both very good.

The Hornbill Restaurant & Cafe is a tourist restaurant since it's located next to the Botanical Garden. However, the food is very good, and the price is reasonable. The staff is friendly and provides you with sensible recommendations. Because it's next to the garden, you can enjoy pleasant bird sightings, such as an egret or a hornbill.

Pretty decent experience except parking is murder. We took quite a few rounds before being able to locate a parking but luckily upon entering the cafe we immediately manage to snag a seat at the terrace. And also very lucky we manage to see 2 birdies. Food was okay, mee goreng mamak tasted the best.

This is the only restaurant inside the Kuala Lumpur bird park. Food was good, but was slightly expensive. Service was okay.

The Caesar salad is enough to make Karl turn in his grave. The attitude of the head waiter was extremely offputtlng. A shame as the park is a good visit if a bit pricey.

busy establishment, place was packed (lunch time) shows how popular and good credentials Cafe has staff diligent, worked very co-operatively to assemble or split table No fuss no muss, very, very good feel, made patrons feel very welcomed Food very well cooked/well handled, fair price for a cafe in the middle of nowhere... ps - special appreciation for Staffer whom when approached for help/direction, pointed out towards Royal Malaysia Police Museum so we found our way back to the main streets ...shows how committed they are to being service-providers and not singularly here just for profit (Adik if you get to see this...sincere terima kasih!! lu menyelamatkan nyawa kami!!)

This restaurant is located inside the KL bird park and is probably the only restaurant in the vicinity. Ofcourse you do have small kiosks selling snacks and drinks inside the bird park. After a 2 hour walk we were super hungry and wanted some real food! The entrance to the restaurant is through the gift shop (which we missed and saw this again on our way back). The restaurant itself is designed to look like a traditional Malaysian house or Rumah Kampung. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is inside the Hornbill enclosure so you’ll have the hornbill come and stare at you eat 😍. The restaurant team feeds him with tomatoes and other fresh vegetables, so you can enjoy a meal with the hornbill. Here’s what we ordered: 1. Malaysian chicken curry and rice: A very flavourful and aromatic curry loaded with chicken, and comes with a cup of rice and fresh veggies and papad / appalam 2. Grilled chicken burger: This is was one the best chicken burgers I have eaten. The juicy chicken patty along with the fresh lettuce and their burger mayo. The burger comes with a generous amount of fries and coleslaw. 3. Chicken satay: We got 6 delicious skewers of satay with peanut sauce. Do also checkout their drink menu for freshly squeezed juices! ✅ Cost for two RM85

Next to the bird park this restaurant offers a good variety of dishes at moderate pricing with a bonus : a photo of a hornbill. A real highlight to your meal. Enjoy!

Food so-so. You pay for the view/ambience. My hubby and daughter had chicken chop which was ok. Beef burger also ok but my fish in lemon butter tasted more like margarine.

We stopped here for lunch after a busy morning touring the Butterfly Park and Bird Park and before heading onto Perdana Botanical Gardens for a wander around the park (all within walking distance). The restaurant is located right next to the Bird Park and accessible from inside the park, but you don't need to visit the park to eat here. We had a delicious lunch here of mixed satay sticks (chicken and beef) with stir-fried vegetables and rice. It is great that in Kuala Lumpur you can buy the satay sticks with the peanut sauce on the side, I have a nut allergy but even I can enjoy the food here :-) although I didn't realise the vegetables are stir-fried in sesame oil so hubby had to eat them all - fellow allergy suffers be warned. We ordered 24 mixed satay sticks (which came with a little salad on the side), vegetable and rice meal, with 4 soft drinks and the total came to 111.80MYR, including the tip that is always included, so just over £25. This is expensive for a meal in Malaysia, but it is a toursity area so to be expected. However note 3 times the price of our meal in Little India the next day! Great air conditioning inside, but also seating outside on the terrace overlooking the bird park and trees. We opted for inside after a morning spent in the sun! The food is super tasty! Delicious food, fast and friendly service and clean toilets. Staff speak excellent English, which is very helpful for us tourists. Just a shame the prices are high, but this is a touristy area so to be expected.
