We ordered 6 oysters, 2 mains and 2 beers. The oysters were fresh and the mains (Crab Carbonara & Salmon Steak) were awesome. However, the portion were small and we were still hungry after eating. I thought the price was rater steep for the amount...we ordered (total bill was about RM200). Would recommend if you are looking for quality food.More

Had dinner with a group of friends. Nice cosy environment, servers were attentive and polite, suggested we share a few pasta and their suggestions were good, not pushy or rushed us in any ways..we shared 3 types of pasta among the 4 of us and...had a bottle of wine..a bit pricey but no complaints as the food served were good. Wouldn’t mind coming again. Satisfied with everything.More

Bait is in Bangsar on Jalan Telawi outside the shopping mall. A very small place and a limited menu but all excellent. I went there when I saw the Ad for Oysters and we ended up eating other things too. Their house wine was a...bit disappointing, but since we were two, we didn't wish to order a bottle. They are only open in the evening, so not available at lunch time. The oysters were super fresh, and imported from Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. Their large Prawns were also excellent. Service was a little slow but everything was freshly prepared, and the setting was such that one didn't feel time passing as it was in a happening area. A simple cafe with tasty food in a buzzing area.More

The oysters didn’t taste fresh, and I tried 4 different types. The avocados were not ripe in the baked avocado dish. We had planned to go for dinner but stopped after those two dishes and went elsewhere.

I had a first date with a girl here. Seafood selection was excellent and the ambience was perfect. Not too loud like the other bars and restaurants nearby. Service was just nice. All in all, a good place to have a date.More

Came across Bait by chance while with some friends and since it opens till late as well, we thought it was a good hang out spot. I'm not very much a seafood person but I love myself a good ol' fish & chips from time...to time. I was not disappointed here, and in fact I was kind of surprised as I was expecting a standard fare but it turned out pretty good! Among other dishes, my friends shared some oysters between them and said they were very fresh. The only reason why this is not a full 5-rating is the high cost. While we appreciated the food we had, we were wondering if they really justified their prices as surely in KL we can find something cheaper for that same quality (or maybe better)?More

Good Service - even when their busy, it just takes a while. But when they're not busy, they'll suggest favourites, point of specials, and does the small things right, like making sure your wine is aired before pouring> Great food - except for a very...small portion which is "you'll love it or you'll hate" (like the squid ink pasta), Bait's is a solid rounded menu (f a bit limited) which can be considered on the high end for a bar, but definitely worth it. The spatchcock and stuffed lamb are definitely worth the money, albeit the portions can be bigger. But hey, it's bar food. I would say the seafood you can get at other places for better and cheaper, but overall it is tasty as well. The fish and chips, oyster, mussels, all are sufficiently good that you would pay for it again if you were to come next time. I'm not really big on seafood unfortunately. Chill Atmosphere - It's a bar. It can get quite rowdy after dinner on weekends or Friday nights, so if you want to enjoy the food, come earlier at 6pm or something. Or go on a weekday, but even then sometimes there's a few groups drinking and having fun. All in all, Bait's small seating area is a Bangsar bar norm, having a third of the floor taken over by the bar itself. The food is great bordering on AWESOME, and they have drinks for those that partake. It's a place to chill with friends, or for colleagues that wanna hang out and drink with the boss, or even have a tinder date someplace quite classy, with great food, and still not break the bank (You can get a good meal and drink under RM50, slightly more if the drink is alcohol)More
