Beato is our go to place to get our red meat fix. However the last visit was not the usual standard we were used to hence the rating of 4/5. We were lucky to score a table as we didn’t have any reservation for that...evening. We had a room of 1.5 hours for the table before the actual reservation. My sirloin was made to perfection. Tasty and delicious as always. I’m allergy to black pepper and the kitchen was able to accommodate to my special request to steer clear of it. The side dishes were scrumptious. Gotta give love to the creamed spinach. It is a must try! The tenderloin we ordered were sent back ‘twice’ as they couldn’t get the right doneness of medium well. It was served to the table as ‘medium rare’. The manager was generous to offer us a 20% discount for that portion. We will return again and let’s hope we will have a better experience with our steak date night.More

Very tasty, succulent and tender aged ribeye steak. The onion soup was thick and delicious. Service was excellent. The restaurant was full.

We started with the onion soup, which was filled with onions, but a bit under salted. The Angus ribeye steaks were nicely done - perhaps a touch overcooked for medium rare, but tasty all the same, and tender. The chips and mushrooms sides were good,...but zucchini- meh. Service was adequate. Overall nice but pricey steak dinner.More

Came here to celebrate our eldest’s birthday. His wished was to have someone serve him a steak birthday cake. We brought our own wine Pros: 1) Reservation was quick and easy via Whatsapp 2) Our request was attended to immediately by the staff. To put...a birthday candle on the porterhouse steak when serving it 3) Good wine glasses & decanter. Very fair corkage at RM50/bottle 4) We requested for medium rare - and both steaks came out perfect. A 684 porterhouse & a 414 ribeye cut. Both were Angus. Ribeye had a better funk and dry aged taste to it. 5) Sides were good. We had the thick cut fries & the grilled pineapple 6) Starters were so-so. We ordered x1 escargot (too much sauce) and x2 scallops (1st scallops was better) 7) Attentive staff but a bit cold. But they did apologized at the end that the kitchen was slow although we did not complain. Cons: 1) Slow kitchen. Our appetizer bread came after 20 mins. Bread was good though with the melted butter and chopped black olives 2) Wad hoping for more variety of dry aged beef. Perhaps 45 days or maybe even 60 days. Was informed they normally age them 25-30 days and all cuts are sourced from Australia 3) When the birthday steak cake was served - i think the staff panicked and did not know how to respond. No one sang birthday song 4) We had to pour our own wines and when our kids finished their drinks- nobody came and asked us if they want another drink. We still enjoyed the atmosphere and overall experience was a 3.8/5.0. Will definitely come back for thicker cuts of the rib eyes and will definitely try the lamb next.More

Service was fine, not super friendly. Steaks were cold, tender and tasty though. The garlic butter didn’t melt… Not worth the price for sure. Chocolate mousse is a chocolate pudding with clotted cream and some chocolate powder, crème brûlée was a vanilla cream served cold…

We decided to enjoy the bottle of Penfold St Henry with some nice steak and choose Beato Steak House. The interior is simple but tasty decorated. The service is prompt and friendly maybe due to RMCO not that many customers. We ordered the Wagyu Rib-Eye...and Tenderloin and must say the steak is done to our liking, juicy and tasty. Maybe can rest the steak for few more minutes as some blood water is obvious. It serve with saute Garlic which is sweet and nice. The prawn Olio is on the salty side. It was an wonderful dinner and wine is top notch too.More

We had a friends dinner, all of us quite particular on steak quality. Together with the shop at Publika, Beato always deliver a good quality steak cooked at perfection as long as you are very clear on how you want you steak to be cooked....For instance mine medium rare is more close to their rare therefore I made it clear before ordering. Side dishes are tasty and you can find a quite wide selection. Wine is priced reasonably therefore eating a nice ribeye with a good glass of Amarone (my personal preferred choice) is possible without crying exclesivly on the bill.More

Went to Beato to celebrate a friend's birthday as we've heard so much about their aged steak. It was the greatest disappointed. My standard has always been like Prime Le Meridien or Chambers KL Hilton. First, I requested for a medium steak, it came out...medium rare. Then I asked them to cook a little more, the steak came back charred and it tasted bitter. I have to trim off the charred area before I can eat it. The chef destroyed a nice 340g piece of black Angus. See photos. I told the manager, I think it's a Korean guy, either he doesn't understand my English or he played ignorant. He did nothing to rectify the charred and bitter tasting steak. The rack of lamb we ordered was good and tender. The shop should be called Beato Lambhouse coz the lamb taste much better than the steak. The service wasn't that great either. The steak came out slow after an hour sitting there with our bread and soup. This place is not that cheap. I don't mind paying more as long as I get what I am paying for. So I have paid for an undercooked then charred bitter steak.👎👎👎 With so many choices of better steak house, this is my first and last time going to Beato.More

Generally pleasant and efficient service. Steaks are still good - but seem to lack the zing of my earlier visits. Sides are huge though! In the end, we left satisfied. And, will be back.

We waited more than an hour to get our appetizer and and another 40+ minutes for the main dish. I went and told them three times and was always told „only a few more minutes...“. There’s other good steakhouses in KL.

Had dinner here with friends end April. Setting was pretty nice and they bring along a chalkboard with the available cuts and weights. We selected the grain fed ribeye and the angus ribeye, both medium well, along with a couple of sides and a bottle...of wine. When the steaks arrived, both were nicely seared on the outside, but upon cutting one was more medium rare-medium and the other was medium cooked. We ate it anyway but mentioned that to the waiter, who claimed it was the juice from the steaks... Now, I've eaten at many established steak houses, and I know what is juice and what is blood, and one steak was clearly bloody. They need to get the doneness right as that is basic for any steakhouse. Nevertheless, the meat was tender and flavourful.More

The steak is cooked perfectly and reasonably priced for what is sometimes an expensive city for steak. A short train and walk 20 minutes outside to find this absolute gem. Easily one of the best steaks I've ever had. Service is spot on, also. Just...the right amount of attention. 🤙More

We went last night for dinner. Finally found a restaurant in KL serving a great steak at reasonable prices. We had a Five Kind Cheese platter to start, then a Tenderloin fillet. Sensational! All the steaks come with four different mustards. My favourite was the...Chimichurri! Service and staff excellent. We'll come again for sure.More
