Back to Vasco’s in the new normal to enjoy the remaining Hilton club vouchers, had the opportunity to experience the buffet in the new formula where it is served at the table to comply with social distancing. Honestly it is such a better experience. You get the same unlimited quality food but you get served at table in nice tapas portions. Free flow of drinks priced attractively at 98 nett, had only red wine but enjoyed a decent 2019 Chilean merlot. Staff is very courteous and a plus; special thanks to Dinesh for taking such good care of us and our dinner.

We are writing to express our appreciation to the Vasco restaurant as we really feel surprise and having a great and memorable dining experience today. Due to CNY and busy season, initially I just plan to bring my wife for a simple 13th wedding anniversary dining during lunch time today. As booked the table thru TABLEAPP last night, everything is smooth and arrange perfectly. The food are nice and still having CNY feel for the dishes. Before we are leaving the restaurant, the staffs recognize today is the wedding anniversary for us and brought us a cake by greeting us. We do really feel very surprise and appreciate for the special arrangement by the restaurant. We did not put a remark for this occasion in the TABLEAPP booking but we believe they have keep some history records (since both of us are Hilton Honors Gold Members). From this, we really feel appreciate for the hard work for Annuar and his great team members, Aida, Noor, Fauzi, Sanjay and others. Really thanks a lot for the special treatment and arrangement. Annuar really did well and bring his team going to extra miles since December 2019... With this kind of services and quality, we definitely will be backed for dining always.

Had my breakfast here with my friend recently. It is now allocating only 1 hour for customers to finish their breakfast, in its pre-allocated periods. So all better to be on time or else will have to wait for the next allocation or have less than an hour to eat. For us, the time was quite sufficient but since there were only 1 staff at the egg station and she had to cook the eggs as well as serving other items, e.g. sausages, baked beans etc, customers (who were not waiting for the eggs) would have to wait for some time there. An additional staff there would help. Staff clearing the tables and serving beverages were sufficient. Amongst them I wish to especially recommended the staff Senjai and Haikal. They were both extremely fast and attentive. Well done! Overall, it was a satisfying breakfast. Thanks.

As we were staying at the Hilton , we decided to eat at Vasco for our anniversary dinner . What a mistake . We didn’t mind that the buffet was served at the table , but the ordering system is wrong , keep have to wait for the waiter to notice you even though there is a QR code on the table to order but it isn’t working . We wanted to laugh when the dishes were serve , how small it was , you must keep on ordering to make it worth the price , hence you keep on waiting . The biggest problem was the food quality , It was so below average, I don’t know how those chef manage to get their job there . Seriously . We tried almost every dishes on the menu and only the pizza were surprisingly good . I reached to the point that I’d actually rather cook dinner myself than eating here . We were given a complimentary chocolate cake for our anniversary, but it tasted bad too , like just out of freezer . Breakfast was included with our room so we were back here in the morning, sadly the choice was very limited and not so worth it . Conclusion: won’t go back

Went for the buffet dinner yesterday. In line with the observation of social distancing, the buffet setting was changed to table service.We were given a menu from which we could order as many times as we liked. The choices were limited and the servings were very tiny. We were given only plain water. No fruit juice was served. There were four types of salad, each serving was the size of a soup spoon. The lamb cutlet was tough and served without the mint sauce. The Australian Tomahawk was not great either. There were only three types of sushi. The usual fare of oysters, prawns, slipper lobsters, sashimi were not served. The reason given was that they could not serve raw food. Even the satay was a disappointment. The peanut sauce was not as good as that we can get in mamak stalls. . For dessert, there were only five types of sweets - all served in minuscule size. There were only three small slices of water melon, honeydew and pineapple in the plate of fruit served. We ordered two servings but were given only one. The ABC we ordered was never served. Throughout the whole time we were there, there were only two waitreses. The restaurant is obviously understaffed. It would have been a better experience if we could be given a tablet for ordering food. Even a piece of paper for selecting the food we wanted to order would have been better than waiting for the waitress to come to our table to key in the orders. On the whole, it's a really disappointment experience. Instead of RM188, I would say the meal should be worth only RM60. Another thing I must mention was the terrible condition of the washroom. It's Hilton, for Christ's sake, but the toilet was so filthy it's worse than any highway public toilet. I understand that hotels are all not doing well and they need to cut staff and cut cost, but if they're not ready, they should not open the restaurant for buffets. It's better not to serve any buffet than to get a bad reputation.

The steak and the lamb cutlets were good, but for 115RM I expected real mashed potatoes rather that some powder badly mixed that it felt more like having grits. Anyway, the restaurant advertises Christmas buffet lunch and dinner through the month of December 2020, and nowhere it states that because of the Confused MCO, the buffet is not opened on weekday. They told me it was a government requirement, which is odd approving buffet ok weekend only. Still, the point is that advertisement doesn’t mention anything about the buffet not available. Hence I feel cheated.

I’ve drop by to this restaurant for dinner with my friend, which I’ve personally recommended to my friend let’s we have dinner at this restaurant , I’ve order 1 mushroom soup to start , barramundi and rib eye , eventually the server who’s took my order I don’t note he’s name , he have taken our order and all dish as came it’s were wrong , I’ve order fish with mashed potato, but it’s been served with french fries , I’ve requested a waitress to changes she’s look at us one kind , I’ve call her and said your server took wrong order , and the main dishes has arrived and mushroom soup was missing , I’ve asked the server where’s the mushroom soup and he’s said (ok wait ) waited for 10 minutes the soup not as been serve and I’ve asked the waitress to cancel it. Eventually the manager knows the what happen but she’s has no any courtesy or apologies for the incidents what just occurred . Beside that , - no satisfaction check - no repeat the order - manager knows there’s issue , but just ignored it . Always in a restaurant, first impression it’s has to be best impressions, however here our farewell was warm and thanked full by this girl name Ramalah, she’s was so friendly and active , enthusiastic and I wished she’s took my order instead of the the waiter who take my order . Thank you and hope its won’t happen to other customer again.

It was a disaster buffet from a 5 stars hotel. I understand the CMCO - Conditioned Movement Control Order (partial lockdown) impacted the business and hotel may need to limit the choice of food for the buffet to reduce waste. BUT please ensure QUALITY food provide. Hilton provided padat malam (night market) food quality but charge premium! Picture attached were all the food serve on Oct 22, 2020. All the waiters totally Q attentive and not helpful. 1. I stood at the restaurant entrance for 1 min to get assistance. (It's Hilton, not 3 star hotel) 2. No envelope given to keep the mask. As a 5 star hotel, you may want to promote green but you have to tell the customer too. (btw, Hilton is not promoting green). 3. I believe it's a standard for the waiter to inform the customer how to order the buffet as it's different from the previous buffet style. My last visit was table buffet due to CMCO. Now they changed to self service but the chef will serve the food at each of the food counter. The waiter didn't bother to inform at all. However, the chef at food counter were attentive and helpful. 4. If it's self service, I think the waiter should remind customer to wear mask when leave the table. I saw customers came in with mask pulled down and 1 no mask when left the table (I supposed he forgot) but Non of the waiter stop this! 5. Disaster food choice and quality as mentioned above. 6. Again, it took me another 1 min to wait for someone to attend to me at cashier counter. Hilton KL is definitely NOT qualified as 5 star hotel for sure. 3 star is more appropriate.

This review is long overdue but I feel the need to express my sincerest gratitude. I had a rare opportunity to visit the Hilton KL for my birthday weekend. Being a hotelier myself I was looking forward to my city staycation from another hotel chain. I have heard much about the Hilton group. The Manager was exceptionally helpful and assisted me with a smooth check in as the lobby was packed. During my stay, I found the reception staff friendly and polite. A special mention to the Vasco team who really took good care of me on the night of my birthday (20.8) The Hotel Manager had secretly arranged a birthday cake which was presented at the end of dinner. I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you! A special mention to Chef Thinesh and Chef Mani along with the waiters at breakfast who successfully created a good impression by engaging in friendly conversation and were at my complete disposal for that extra warm personalized touch. Well done! There is room for improvement especially for the staffs stationed at the buffet spread at Vasco's. They seemed cold and unfriendly. In my opinion they are just inexperienced and only need more training in customer service. Nevertheless I had a lovely weekend and look forward to my Hilton Honors next vacation. Had a easy Saturday evening dinner at Vasco and the experience was perfect. The food was just right, the ambiance calming and the service experience was excellent. Excellent simply because the service provided by Dinesh was well balanced: he was attentive to our needs, showed initiative but was never over inquisitive, giving us our space and privacy. Well done! The same could said for Ramlah who processed our payment promptly and efficiently. We not disappointed with breakfast the next day too. Though Vasco was packed, the prompt and efficient service by Sanjai was a stand out. Everything came on time from the bread to the juice, fruits and the main dish and there was never a “stand still” or lull in the service. He was attentive and gave us the perfect attention. This was made perfect with the additional service provided by Fauzi who never stopped to ask if we were comfortable and if we need more food....which was more than enough. It was indeed a pleasant evening and stay at Hilton Sentral. Keep hustling and rocking out good service guys, cheers!

Well greeted with Malaysian Hospitality once we entered the restaurant. This is Truly Asian! We were seated at window area and it's met our requirements. Foods - never failed with every dishes presented and taste. Chefs are doing very good job! Keep it up. Every Chef's are smiling while assisting us with something that we asked. Particularly at Egg, Indian and Malay Roti Canai stations. Service - Particularly Annuar who are never failed to asked and checked on our breakfast. Noticed he really doing his duty to check most of the guest who is patronizing the restaurant. Keep it up!! Thank you also to others restaurant team who've done an excellent job! This is what you called a memorable dining experience. Thanks Vasco's and we will come again. Highly recommended to others diners and please try their breakfast. 😃

Not only the food was delicious but also a waiter by the name of Sanjay & his team from Vasco’s were very attentive to our requests. You totally don't feel the stress of COVID-19. They successfully wiped that stress off while we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. In my opinion, Hilton KL is maintaining a high SOP for COVID-19 preventive measures.

The team leader Fauzi in hilton Kuala Lumpur has been very very helpful and friendly. Fauzi did an amazing job when it comes to making us feel welcome in a professional way. Fauzi is also very observant and attentive, as he remembered how i took my coffee the day before, and he made the same new one the following day without me asking. And that was a very smart and kind move from your restaurant team leader fauzi. Very good job fauzi ! Thank you!

Dinesh & Jai. This is our 4th visit to Vasco's buffet this year. Quality of food is superb as usual. The service provided by their staffs Mr Dinesh and Mr Jai are excellent. Mr Jai is very attentive to refill our glasses, as well as remove the used plates so that we can fill our table with more food. I especially liked how the staff were always smiling, as I felt welcomed and happy. I am very satisfied with the staffs' performance. This is what TRUE customer service is. Due to the RMCO, the variety of food has diminished. Apart from the limited variety, everything else were excellent. KUDOS!!! Keep up the good work.

I’m pleasantly surprised to find out that there’s a deaf chef here, named Fong Ken Hon. Despite his disability, he is really friendly and helpful to all visitors. He is also attentive to each consumers’ needs. All the other staff are just as hospitable and attentive. They work hard to ensure that our dining experience is enjoyable and smooth :)
