Went there last night, the place was almost empty. We ordered several things off the menu and some drinks. The drinks were excellent but the food was just ok and very small portions. The service was pretty fast but the price was high (195RM) for...4 appetizers (two types of xio mai, 1 shrimp curry, 1 bowl of rice, 1 very small salad) and 3 non-alcoholic drinks. Atmosphere was nice but we had a lady talking loudly on her phone for about 20 minutes so that was unpleasant.More

Nice ambiance and great food! Service was great and Thanks to Roy who is always available to assist us and give us surprises! Love the Beef Rendang, Salted Egg Carbonara (though a bit heavy), Fighting Cock Wings, Lemongrass Sticks, Will definitely visit this restaurant again!

Although the ambience was great, the food and service were terribly lacking. The food was white-washed, lacking flavour and spice. The dim sum served tasted as if it was store bought from the frozen aisle of a supermarket. The beef rendang had no punch and...was watered down. Other dishes were barely memorable and overpriced. The waiters were also not attentive and slow. Am very disappointed considering the good reviews. Our experience certainly did not reflect the 4.5 rating. As a local, would not come again or recommend to anyone. Seems like just a tourist trap to me.More

The environment inside the restaurant was wonderful. Our server, Roy, had very good recommendations for cocktails and food. We will definitely be back!

Visited Opium KL again after MCO 2.0. Food standard and quality has dropped. Lots of mosquitos after rain. Overall, uncomfortable and not the similar expectations as before.

Jonathan has the best customer service I've ever seen amongst all the bar and restaurants I've been to. He knows the menu very well, the best and hot seller, drinks of the month, and he knows exactly which drinks suit our taste after listening to...our preference. Plus, he was super friendly and with a great smile. As for the place, it has a really traditional Chinese vintage vibe with the interior design. Great ambience. The food is really delicious and has large portion. Price is reasonable. Will definitely come again with friends.More

We need our phone-torches to be able to read the menu but the decor and atmosphere are in Opium. Some very original dishes make up the food selection: some of te Dim Sum dishes are quite unsurprising but some are excellent, especially the fried ones....We recommend the aubergine and pumpkin "pot" dish. The house wines are good but a little pricy....More

I had vegetarian dishes which were excellent. They also had a birthday celebration while we were there and brought out a cake to another table
