Went for a birthday dinner and all 4 of us had a steak. My Wagyu steak was nicely cooked and tender. It came with some mash and rocket salad. It was just enough to fill you up. As it was a birthday, we got a...complimentary small piece of cake and a scoop of ice cream. And the cheapest steak was FOC. The staff were attentive. Overall had a good meal.More

Excellent, tasty and tender Wagyu Ribeye Steak. The grass-fed ribeye steak was tasty but rather fibrous and tough. Very good and fast service. Popular restaurant.

My family of 4 were there for an advance birthday celebration, the evening before the MCO 2.0 lockdown. Taking advantage of the promotion - free main course for the birthday baby - we ordered 4 Wagyu 9 medium. 3 of the steaks were absolutely delish....However, the 4th one was a total letdown. A good chunk of the 260g steak was chewy. It was so bad that it had to be spat out. We couldn’t help arriving at the conclusion that the 4th piece of wagyu steak was an inferior cut because it was free. My feedback to the management fell on deaf ears. Quite unbelievable for an establishment that claimed to be the Best Steakhouse in KL serving the Best Wagyu Beef in KL!More

The food is ok. What I didn’t like is the fact they advertise Wednesday as ‘Ladies Day’ and that all ladies get a free drink. The picture advertising the event clearly shows a close up of four glasses of wine in a toast, strongly giving...the impression that a glass of wine is part of the promotion. When ordering you are told that alcohol is not included in the promotion, even though the picture clearly shows glasses of wine. Do I care about the wine - no. But I do care about the misleading advertising and the staff who didn’t seem to care about it. My wife and I have been a few times and will not be back.More

Came here for our anniversary lunch. Wahyu beef is amazingly good and juicy. and the lamb cutlet is quite good as well. Staff service is excellent too, and Sadhis has been friendly and helpful.

We order delivery takeaway for Mother’s Day (10/5/2020) due to lockdown - the order came missing one steak order - our order reference 816948795901692. The packaging was disappointing - we have difficulty disposing the cheap plastics containers as they are recyclables and need washing. The...beef is acceptable , fish is okay , lamb a bit dry and vegetables are too salty. Complaints process has no tracking reference - Joel took our call. We ask for refunds via reverse credit card transaction. We hope to receive prompt refunds.More

Despite an hours wait, I cannot express how disappointed my husband and I were with our Steak dinner at Maria’s Bangsar. Firstly the steak options left were limited to Wagyu Ribeye marble 9/7 250gm+ which means you get charged more, secondly the mash potatoes was...not only the lumpiest but also cold I’ve ever seen. I asked to Get a well done steak and I received a medium and to make it worse the chef re-cooked my steak again which took another 25min and didn’t even bother thinking about heating my mash. Not going to come again.More

Had ribeye steaks and spaghetti bolognaise. Overall decent steaks. Pricey but taste as good as any other place when it comes to MB9 steaks. A little inconsistent in doneness of the two ribeye steaks we ordered (medium) but not too bad. Will come again.

Went to Maria’s to celebrate my birthday with my family on Jan 27, 2020 and I am sad to say that it was an incredibly disappointing dining experience. Not only did we wait 45mins for our food (we sat down at around 8pm, and got...the first round of food at 8.45pm), but it came out at different times. 3 ribeyes came out first and 2 tenderloins came out almost 15mins later. In terms of the steaks, it was cooked very inconsistently, some steaks were a bit under the medium rare that we asked for (came out rather rare). The steaks were seasoned well, but it didn’t have the beautiful crusted sear that Maria’s steaks were famous for. Maria’s changed their sides - they serve their steaks with mash potato, rocket salad and crispy onion - it sounded good, and the picture in the menu looked good, but it just looked sad when the dish came out! First of all, the sides were not of consistent portion (some steaks had extremely little salad, while some had more). The rocket salad was not fresh, it was wilted and was turning a bit yellow. The mash was okay, the crispy onions were so-so. We also ordered a side of creamed spinach and it was very disappointing. It was very bland, soggy and unappetising. All in all, it was a big disappointment. It was definitely not the good steaks that I remembered. And I am sad to say that I will never visit Maria’s Steakcafe againMore
