The Yong Tau Foo was good, they made there and fried there itself, so all the pieces were fresh and served hot. We’ve never finish any Yong Tau Foo they we’ve ordered before, but this time, we finished it off, because it was delicious!

Very delicious. It's a popular street food stall, so don't expect to be served like a queen, or have a nice place to sit at. You get normal seating but delicious Yong Tau Foo. I can literally have it every week, or every day but...that'd be too much. RM1.50/ piece.More

I had been having their Hakka Yong Tau Foo since 40 years ago and still came here to have a meal once a while. Tastes of the Sauces changes through the generations which made regular customers immune to it taste and had accepted it. But...frankly, the sauces is much thicker, sweeter and creamier those days as they probably uses natural ingredients while the style and others ingredients remained the same. A crowd puller on a normal days, waiting in line of long queues (sometimes there are probably 30 Infront of your que) which is worth waiting to have a nice Hakka Yong Tau Foo. You could tastes the freshness of the fish paste they uses and fresh vegetables. Very nice and cryspy Fried Wanton and Fried Sui Kow. Limited seatings available which belongs to the stall owner while you may seat at others places but need to purchase something from that stall. Parking isn't a problem as nearby those stalls, there's a parking space. Prices are very reasonable.More

Was taken here by my Aunties who are locals. Came on a Saturday and the stall opens at 11. We arrived just before perhaps around 10:45 and there was already a substantial queue. It was perhaps around 11:20-11:30 before we got our food. The queues...didn't subside much whilst we were there, but I understand it does go down a bit later on. The environment itself is very basic, as I said proper street food! On the side of the street, no air con and no fans that I noted. Because we also order curry mee from a stall, we were able to sit near the entrance to the small shopping mall next door and occasionally get a whiff of air con from there. More about this later. The food itself was pretty decent with plenty of choice, from okra to soft tofu as well as fried large wontons etc. Unfortunately, I can't comment much on the mechanics of ordering or how much it was as my Aunty sorted this, but I can advise the food tasted nice, although the chilli sauce was perhaps not the best I've ever had. Note, that apparently you need to be a little careful where you sit as there are a number of stalls and apparently unlike other places, you can't sit wherever you like as some of them compete on things like the drinks. I think we might have been frowned upon if we had sat in the seats that we did if we hadn't ordered the curry mee. I guess the safe thing is to either sit near the stall or ask.More

In the wet market parallel to Petaling street. Long queue for this stall. However, the queue moved fast. You pick your own tasty pieces of different items. Each piece cost RM 1.40. One of the best Yong Tau Foo in town.

They make their yong tau foo fresh, all right before your eyes. It is served fresh and you know its good by the long queue even before the stall is opened. Must go with the chee cheong fun.

I have been eating in this place since I was a kid. Still the best yong tow foo stall in KL. If there is a better one, please let me know and I would love to try it. It is a hawker stall. A typical...street food. Can be hot in sunny days. Zero ambiance. Just enjoy the food and escape to a cooler place. The great food is worth the discomfort. Every piece is freshly prepared and fried. Also order the chee cheong fun and curry laksa from the nearby stalls. Excellent too. The place is very territorial. Can only sit on tables where you see the tray containing chopsticks, spoon and sauces. If you sit at the wrong table, you will be asked to move. Prepare to que. Sometimes the que is 20 people long. Close on Monday. Best to arrive around 11.30 am before the lunch crowd. Close when everything is sold, about 2.30 pm. Open for lunch only.More

The yong tau foo (ytf) is certainly at best, average quality. The fish paste which is stuffed into the variety of vegetables and tofu is overly peppered. The accompanying sweet and chilli sauces are watery and is just the run of the mill ytf sauces....Don’t go out of your way to get stuck in the queue only to be served by unfriendly stall owner and assistant. The only item worth mention is the super smooth tofu. Light and yet already fried, it is the only item on the meagre menu which isn’t displayed (probably because it is sold before they can display it). It is the stall’s signature item.More

It was the stall with the longest queue! We queued and it wasn’t long before it was our turn. We selected our brinjal, bitter gourd, tofu, fu chuk, chilli and she asked us where we sat and if we ordered any noodles. As we did...not order any noodles, we could only sit on the tables behind her stall. Really? So we found a table, sharing with another couple to enjoy our food. It was hot! And be prepared to sweat! Food was delicious!!More

Obviously great value street food, beer available but no other alcohol. We had sweet & sour chicken, great, prawn stir fry, garlic bock Choy, fab, pork dish with chilli a bit fatty, special fried rice and sesame honey chicken delicious. No upset tummies. Take your...own wet wipes, tissues and serviettes and don’t expect restaurant standards, it is street food but delicious.More

The stall that I will visit whenever I am back to KL. The yong tau fu was so fresh because they prepared it on site. The fillings was very generous too, but the pricing also going up over the years, from 0.70/ piece till 1.40/...piece now, but still worth it! Love their stuffed beancurd and deep fried bean curd skin. They closed on Monday , only open for lunch . Must try if you come to China Town, but prepare for long que.More

If you have not eaten at this outlet then you do not know KL... yes, Madras Lane Yong Tau Foo. Have been around for more then 50 years selling Yong Tau Foo which is basically stuffed fish paste with tofu, brinjal, lady's finger, fu chuk...or fish balls... Places is not very clean but food is still good and customers queuing bears testament of it's popularity. It's not cheap @ RM1.40/piece and taste is among the best in Kuala Lumpur.... You can eat it by itself and add a bowl of rice as filler or better still a plate of Chee Cheong Fun from the opposite stall... simply sublime. Yes worth a visit anytime if you are in KL Chinatown.More
