Hubs surprised me, again, for our anniversary dinner at this treasure restaurant that we very much liked. And again, they still managed to astound me.
For starters, hubs ordered the truffled prawn(again cz it ws so good the last time) and it tasted just as it did before. The combination of fried prawns, truffle cream, honey and crushed nuts was praised by him from the start of our dinner til the end. Which by the way, interrupted my moment with Cafe Cafe's delicate foie gras. The texture was just right with apple compote and pears. However, the apple vinaigrette overpowered the dish a bit.
For our mains, hubs had the lamb medallion. The honey lemon mustard dressing complemented the portioned medallion. He very much enjoyed the sauce and surprisingly finished his quinoas and lentils salad. I had the beef tenderloin and it was perfectly cooked as per requested(I love when people get my steak right). The meat was tender and well seasoned. The wasabi dressing was a bit much for me, I finished hubs dressing instead (wife material lol).
To end, hubs ordered his all-time-fav, the creme brulee. Yeap, he did the trick(refer to my previous review on Cafe Cafe) again and our waiter seemed to be proud of the fact that he taught us that on our previous visit. He should be cuz we do that trick EVERYWHERE for our creme brulee. I had their chocolate cake and the center was heavenly molten. Taste wise, it was average but still good to have it once in a while.
All and all, our visit at Cafe Cafe was amazing(again). Thanks for the decoration for our anniversary and thanks for the helpful waiters!

We had dinner there on 12 August - it was a bit out of the way from our hotel but worth the visit. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Ambience was nice, food was really nice excellent, cocktails a little limited but overall good value for money.

Dig in the starter with the pan seared scallop, oysters, and entrée with sea bass and beef tenderloin. Finished with the tiramisu and chocolate cake. Total divine at this place. Parking can be a challenge.

Wanted to go to French restaurant for our 40th anniversary while in KL as we had been to Paris for our honeymoon. Found Cafe Cafe online and decided I liked the reviews.
Oh, so glad we went there. The food was amazing....I had the creamy truffle fettuccine. It was to die for!!
The staff were very attentive. The decor was fantastic. It was pretty busy so book a table on weekends. Highly recommended

My gf booked a table for us to celebrate my birthday. We decided to go with the set menu 188 & 166.
I have chosen Foie Gras for appetiser, Grass Fed Beef Tenderloin as main course and Poached Pear as dessert while my gf has chosen Prosciutto With Wild Rocket Leaves as appetiser, Burgundy Beef Cheek as main course and Cheese Platter as dessert.
The Foie Gras came out pretty small than I expected. Medium cooked Beef Tenderloin was pretty rubbery. The rest of the food was nice. I must say that the service was excellent. The staffs were attentive.
Surroundings were nicely decorated with a romantic setting. Most of the guests appeared to be young couples. Location is pretty strange for a fine dining but it was not hard to find a parking spot as we just did it 'Malaysian' style. Lol
Overall it was a pleasant experience. Might have to reconsider to come back again due to expensive price and small food portion.

This is a hidden gem in KL city. We were searching for French cuisine in town and we decided to try on this place based on recommendations. And yes it was a satisfying meal. Was surprised with the interior decor and the ambient of the restaurant. Went on the weekday so no problem of finding a table, but unsure about weekend. Parking should be a problem if you go early. Certain foods and drinks have alcoholic content so it's good to ask the staff beforehand. Nevertheless, the food was nice with relatively reasonable price. A must try.

Tucked away in a corner off the beaten track in the city, lies this gem of a find. Dimly lit French-styled bistro with lovely service. Well priced set menus and good food. Restaurant is a bit tired though and can perhaps be refreshed.
When making a booking, do ask to be seated away from the restrooms as they do smell a bit. Owners should really look into this.

Based on many recommendations I decided to have dinner at Cafe Cafe upon arriving in KL. KL is super saturated with excellent dinning out options as such selecting Cafe Cafe was a gamble. First off, the restaurant website is fantastic and I made my reservation online prior to arriving in Malaysia. The process was very simple and efficient. First impressions were thus great.
The restaurant is approximately 20 mins from Pavilion Mall. Signage is not prominent from the road so best if you keep a track on Google maps.
The cafe is small but elegant, the ambiance is perfect to transcend you to Paris. The staff are confident, smart and very warm...welcoming all the way. Most impressive is that all the stewards were well averse with the menu. In my travels this was one aspect that seldom realised.
The food was top notch, five stars. For appetizers we had; the clams and the Portobello Mushrooms...both were delicious, cooked and marinated to perfection.
The real highlight of the dinner was the Lamb Shank (main meal). It's was simply world class...from the aroma to taste. I highly recommend this dish. It is the most expensive on the menu but totally worth it.
Thank you cafe cafe for a great evening of dinning. I shall be back!

The overall ambience is great. Nice deco.Good for couple and small gathering. It's located in the city center, but not a very crowded place. Parking is easy provided you arrived early.
The service is good.
The food however is only so so compared to the price of the food. I'm expecting better food with the price paid.

European deco with reasonable prices dishes. The menu have a good selection of starters and the European main dishes. We had scallops and mushroom as starters and pasta for main, both were equally good. Worth trying

My wife and I had dinner in this resturant last night and recommend it. The total bill for just over $100 USD for cocktails, a bottle of red table wine, appetizer and entree was reasonable.
As over one-half of our normal dinner when out is alcohol, if you drink beer or soft drinks your tab will be considerably less.
The service was attentive and friendly.
