We vacation in AB yearly, and have eaten at Amos Mosquitos twice now. The place has a line out the door, but when we were there 2 tables sat empty next to us the entire meal!! It is WAY overpriced for food quality! Our bill was north of $200 for 4 adults and 2 kids under 9!!! No alcohol.... I... More

Got some yummy cocktails and we all ordered appetizers for meals. I had a delicious black bean burgers dish served with hot sauce and firecracker bread. Their cornbread is delicious, we left satisfied. There was a lengthy wait with several seats available. Perhaps short on staff this time of year.

We had 4 adults and 2 children eating dinner. Everything was cooked perfectly. I had crab stuffed flounder; other dishes were fried flounder and oysters, flounder and shrimp, mahi-mahi, macaroni/cheese and fried shrimp. For dessert the kids made s'mores at the table (see picture). Great evening!

Fried Pork Chops and Meatloaf were the entrees for dinner. Both were excellent and Fried Pickles appetizer was a great addition. Staff was very friendly and attentive to anything we needed. The noise level was very high which was disapointing.

My husband and I both had the filet. It was cooked to perfection! The garlic smashed potatoes were yummy as well.

Pros: Clean. Pleasant people. Cons: Overpriced, noisy. I had the mixed grill. I believe the plate sat on the shelf for too long before we were served. The tuna was cooked properly but was not warm enough. The shrimp were over cooked and rubbery. The scallops were fine. My wife had the seafood cobb salad. The chicken was rubbery as... More

Consistent excellent service and exceptional food. A bit pricey but "you get what you pay for." Owners usually present and REALLY care.

With a quirky business name - and, sadly, rather sexist alias names for the waitresses - this relatively new seafood spot offers great service and excellent food. The preparation is not heavy and greasy like typical large beach establishments, and while there isn't an ocean view, the marshland outside the building is lovely, with a boardwalk and places to sit... The food is great, the staff is attentive, and the atmosphere is wonderful. If there is a wait (and there usually is because so many people are there), they will give you a pager and you and go walk on the dock back of the restaurant. In good weather, I'd recommend sitting in the back of the restaurant so you... More

Description
Welcome to Amos Mosquito’s Restaurant & Bar – or more affectionately known by locals as “Skeeter’s”. Established in 1999, Amos Mosquito’s offers a family friendly environment with a menu of fresh seafood and a wide variety of creative entrees. While in our first location on the Morehead City Waterfront, and here in our present location on Atlantic Beach overlooking beautiful Bogue Sound, we’ve had one primary goal in mind – to create the most unique, fun, and high quality dining experience that can be found in Eastern North Carolina. We have a seasoned staff of chefs, servers, and hosts who are passionate about making customers happy. Although we specialize in local seafood and offer at least two varieties of fresh fish every night, our menu also features chicken, pork and Sterling Silver beef.We make all our salad dressings, sauces and desserts in house and have a great children’s menu loaded with fun games and mosquito facts.Thursday nights are sushi nights at Amos Mosquito’s. We offer a full menu of fresh, made to order sushi in addition to our regular menu.Amos has a full bar and a wonderful, reasonably priced wine list.Reservations are not accepted, but you may call us to place an order for take out.
