I was in Ashland enjoying some plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. I was in the mood for Sushi, so researched sushi places with good Happy Hours. I chose Kobe based on the reviews, and was especially excited to try a roll I had read about. I even read how the HH was popular so try and get there right... More

Their Sushi is okay. The location is pretty by the creek, but it is crowded. The service is a bit snobby.

Kobe has long been one of our top go-to places in Ashland, Oregon for dinner. We love to sit outside on the balcony for dinner in the late summer and early fall. Our favorite roll is the Skydiver; I ask for mine with diced fresh jalapeño. We love their delicious brewed peach tea.

Good selection of very fresh sushi, sashimi, and tempura. Large portions. Wasabi is hot! Excellent pickled ginger.

The food was OK, but not great. The service, when it arrived was pleasant, but it seemed as though their operations are not well organized. We were seated in a lightly occupied room and then ignored for ten or fifteen minutes. There's a reason a waiter is usually there to ask about drinks and appetisers right away. In this case... More

We came in for drinks and they did not disappoint. Had the mojitos and the martinis plus whiskey. The martinis had the orchid so I loved that. Zack, the bartender was amazing. His suggestions were right on spot. We also had the Korean ribs...it was phenomenal!!! Will come back to try the sushi and sake!

We are locals and enjoy coming here for special occasion dinners. We had a reservation but had to wait 40 minutes for a table or sit at the sushi bar. It's always pricey but excellent as well. This last visit the service was just awful. I felt bad for the confused waitresses not knowing what tables ordered what dishes. Service... More

When you have a restaurant in a town where everything revolves around getting people comfortably to their show by 8pm, you need to staff in order to do that. This place, as far as we can tell, doesn't. We waited 1.5 hours for our food, had to stuff it down in 15 minutes and flee.

I do not like sushi, I have never really liked fish. However; I took a risk. The sushi that I had was amazingly prepared. It was artfully prepared right in front of me. They have a nice little bar right in front of the sushi chefs. Gorgeous environment with wonderful sounds and smells from the kitchen. Would definitely return, and... More

Really fresh fish and delightful presentation at a reasonable price for sushi. This visit , running late after a long drive, we were thwarted in our effort to eat at another place and arrived late with "Hamlet" due to begin in 55 minutes. No problem, they found us a table and promptly served us (without seeming to rush). The location... More
