Friends recommended this place when we were in the area. They have a great beer selection and friendly service too. We were there at lunch time and tried the fried chicken sandwiches which were very tasty. We sat at the bar and met some of the locals who were real nice and friendly. This was one of the 1st microbreweries... More

The dining room was very quaint and promised a beautiful atmosphere to enjoy a nice dinner. The food was just not good at all. My wife ordered a steak "well done" (I know...), it came out med-rare. The spaetzle was a very small portion under my very over-cooked schnitzel (the spaetzle tasted like it was microwaved). The service was just... More

Came with a group of 18. There was a beer release party going on at the same time. We were seating right away (despite the crowd). My husband and most of the group were thrilled with the "Believe"--a double bock brew released that evening. They raved about it (and may have bought some to bring home too :-) ) As... More

The atmosphere is awesome, beers are great, and the food is even better. They have a classic interior with comfy high back chairs and unique decor good for a date night, not a kid place but really awesome!

The Black Angus is pretty much as I remember it the last time I visited in the early 1980s. The old blue Packard is still in the foyer and the restaurant still serves nice cuts of beef. What's changed is the surrounding area; the place is a compound now with more of an emphasis on German beer, food and culture.... More

Nice older place with decor from early pilgrims days, or at least I felt that way. It was clean and I only had a beer or two to check it out. So the beer I had was the double IPA which was above being good for me. Looked like fresh oysters were out on the bar and they did look... More

I visited the Stoudt's Restaurant & Brewpub on a Saturday afternoon for lunch in January, 2017. The inside dining area is really cool with big comfy high-back chairs & beautiful woodwork & huge chandeliers inside the one dining area. We enjoyed some of Stoudt's beers, & a cocktail with lunch, both were really good. At our waitress' suggestion, I ordered... More

Went tonight for dinner. Ordered a pretzel appetizer, it didn't seem fresh. Then my son's bratwurst actually tasted a bit spoiled. The spaetzel was the driest I have seen and fried maybe? My schnitzel looks very nice but was so tough, it was a shame. The mashed potatoes were very good, lumps like I enjoy them. Son's remark was, ok... More

We had a flight of beer at Stoudt's Black Angus Restaurant and Brew Pub. The bartender was very knowledgeable about the house beers and was helpful in making our selections. He even recommended a small brewery that we did not know about for our next stop! Good beers and great service.
