Much better than it looks from outside. Very friendly, attentive staff. Food was very good. We will go back!

Tucked away in a quiet corner is this family owned gem. A current family member is the top-notch chef carrying on old tradition while creating new ones. Decor is older but you can hear history there. Family lives on site.

This place seriously looks like someone's grandparent's house. The food is good and fresh, especially the chips. No stale, old oil taste on them. A little hard to get to if you aren't sure of where you are going but definitely worth trying. There's a reason it's been around since forever.

It's a "hole in the wall" kind of place. EXCELLENT Mexican food. You won't be disappointed. Try the pralines when you leave!! (wow, delicious too)

Really good Mexican and Tex Mex food. Old Abilene staple restaurant. Not fancy, but if you just want a good plate of authentic Mexican food, it's a good place to eat.

When entering Farolito's don't be discouraged by the old fashioned Grandma decor. I wasn't sure what to expect but based on advice from friends I decided to get the queso followed by a combination platter. Oh my goodness I was in food heaven! We all ordered something different so we could share bites of lots of different things and I... More

I have eaten here for lunch many times. Most recent visit was as usual, the food and service was great. I will return.

This place is family owned and has been here forever! this place and Casa Herrera are owned by some of the same family but the difference is huge. If you are looking for a cheap Mexican place with great food this will be your spot. Great service every time and consistently good food! Never have been disappointed here, food comes... More

This place was pretty bad. The food was either extremely stale or extremely soggy. The atmosphere was sketchy more than it was authentic. The owner paid no attention to customers because he was too busy cussing out the servers in Spanish. Yeah, this place was a joke...

Restaurant has been around Abilene for a very long time. The original owners' son now runs it. This is a no frills, no thrills kind of place. Food was good. Place has never been redecorated and I think it seldom gets dusted or cleaned. The bathrooms are located in a dark hallway and you will need to use the light... More
