There are a thousand places to eat in Addison, TX; restaurant row has now shortage of diners, chains, steakhouses, and everything else you can think of. Little did I know there was a real gem of a lunch spot just a few hundred yards North of all of that lunchtime insanity. La Spiga sits just West of the South end... More

La Spiga is a wholesale bread bakery. They are very popular and supply bread to restaurants, hotels and other shops. Because they are a wholesaler, their kitchen is attached to a warehouse. When you pull up to La Spiga it is a warehouse with a loading dock. To the right is a small yellow awning. That is the entrance to... More

We have tried everything on the menu over the past 15 years and the consensus is the pork tenderloin sandwich with fresh Swiss melted on it is the best, chicken tarragon coming in second. We hate to review this restaurant because it's considered an insider secret and very small inside (it's primarily a commercial bakery-the cafe is a bonus). The... More

The restaurant is near the airport but out of the way off the beaten path and not at all easy to find, but worth the effort. This is mostly a bakery but does have some excellent lunch items. The place is small with about eight tables. You place your order at the small counter, get a number then get your... More

Only by someone telling us about this wonderful bakery/lunch place would we have gone here. Not easy for someone from out of town to know about or find. You order at the counter and then get a table and they bring the food to you. We were here at lunch time and I had the Chicken Tarragon $4.95 which was... More

I've been here a couple of times. It's busy at lunch, but the service is quick (well, you order at the register) but food delivery is first class. You can get a soup/sandwich or salad/sandwich, which is perfect for what we were looking for. You can't go wrong here... I'd like to try breakfast, but it's just a bit far... More

I stopped in La Spiga for lunch one day based on the positive reviews I had read. I had the chicken tarragon sandwich which had good flavor although I didn't care for the chips. Nice affordable price and the staff was friendly and helpful with offering suggestions. Good in and out place if you are on your lunch break. They... More

We had a salad lunch there (a small salad makes a perfect light lunch, esp. the tuna salad was very good) and breakfast the next day. Great muffins, quiche, fruit and coffee latte! They really prepare the dishes from scratch, you taste the difference to chain food. It is small, yes, perfect for singles or couples.

The location will put off a lot of folks - it i attached to a warehouse. La Spiga does their main business making breads for other restaurants/hotels and the restaurant is a side business. It is a very good side. The food is excellent across the board. The pork tenderloin and tarragon chicken are great all the time. The mozzarella... More

The location is very out of the way, but the food is pretty amazing. La Spiga does catering (breads, cookies, pastries) for the many hotels and restaurants in the Addison area. At lunch time, come for the soups, salads and sandwiches. Try something adventurous like the pork tenderloin sandwich or tarragon chicken. Sandwiches are served on their homemade bread. Samples...
