Hesitant to review the place, I'm afraid if it gets to popular they may get to big for their britches and the lines too long. Their smoked meats are great and sides are good as well and they're made from scratch. The sides are self serve. The prices are very reasonable for BBQ, actually a little lower than the franchise... Nice little restaurant. Always clean - seems great for locals! Love the BBQ meat, but all my family members agree that the sides are not that good.

We must have driven by this small BBQ restaurant for years. We finally stopped in and we don't know why we haven't done it sooner. We told the server/owner that it was our first time in, and she told us all about the menu and our choices. We wanted our barbecue meat to be lean, and she gladly sliced it... More

Every time I'm going n Dallas, I have to go to Ray's. The three meat combo can't be beat. You actually see the family smoking the meat. The sauce is perfect. Not overly sweet or sugary. You really get to taste the meat. And, leave room for the Cobler...

So I was driving from my kid's football game in Murphy and driving on Main Street in Allen headed toward McDermott in Plano when I caught a glimpse of this restaurant so I made a slightly horrible, fast turn into the parking lot. When I got out the smell reminded me of the smell of the many different BBQ places... More

Having previously lived in Illinois, all BBQ in Texas seems great. This place was one of the first local places I tried and I really liked it. The food was very good. Then after visiting there I tried several other BBQ places. That's when I realized that although it's good, there are better out there. I especially liked a place... More

Stopped here for dinner with the family on a week night. Inside is a little run down but clean. Great service, very friendly guys. Was expecting a pretty good meal given the reviews but it was average or slightly below. Not as much flavor as I was expecting, sides were average. Overall a little disappointed in what we got for... Big Ray's is now on my must stop list whenever I am in the area. You are always greeted with a smile and the food is always great. Try one of the sampler plates! If you are really hungry, ask for the combo plate that includes a little bit of everything (it is not on the menu!). The prices are... More

We have eaten bbq all over and this is the worst. I don't think they make it there or they get it pre-cooked and warm it, but yuk. and now I read the reviews and hoped it would be as good as is written since we live in Allen, but no, not at all.

Thank Paula S

This is a great little family owned business in Allen. Very nice owners and besides their great BBQ meats, they have some of the greatest sides and desserts!
