The Bakery Cafe was recommended by some of the locals. It isn't fancy but has very good basic home cooking. They have daily specials. My husband had the fish special. He really liked it. I had the liver and onions which was very tender. If you like liver and onions you know this can be a problem. We shared a... More

This is a local stop. Food was ok. Not really a bakery if your looking for desserts. The waitstaff is not very attentive. The food was like 10.00 a meal. We had chicken fried chicken. It was alright just not hot enough. The salad was small and they never bothered to ask us for refills.

Good food, reasonable priced. Lots of food. Friendly waitress. Plenty of room to eat - lots of tables.

I've had breakfast in here several times and it's always been very good. They have two ladies and one young man who are hustlers, but the other girls waiting tables are worthless. All they do is stand around chatting, or leaning on the counter doing nothing, nor do they make any effort to help their coworkers. I attribute this to... More

Good food, decent price nothing great. I had the chicken fried steak with Cole slaw and mashed potatoes. All good but average all together.

We visited many times for lunch and dinner. Check for the dinner specials, Wednesday I think has a great taco soup. They do have the best chicken fried steak I've had in years. Many Texas eateries could take lessons her on how to properly cook CFS, flavorful tender steak with a thin batter, along with a really good white gravy.... More

Fast and friendly service. Always wanting to make sure we had everything we needed. One of us has Biscuit and Gravy and it was OK but not great. Not much taste. One had eggs and sausage. Pretty good and the toast had butter on it as some places do not butter the toast. The rest said the food was good. The price... More

I'm saying that if you want a family favorite, this is that place. Many daily specials include soup, or salad, main entre and desert. Down home cooking. Well worth it, as the price is appropriate. A must.

I had an hour for lunch... My husband and son picked me up from work and this was Down the road. Honestly, I didn't want to eat here... But allowed them to lead the way.... I'm very picky about my Salisbury steak and gravy... But i asked the waitress what she recommend... So i ordered it. Oh my goodness.... They... More

My wife and I stopped in for lunch. The place was full but the many waitresses were keeping up nicely. We both ordered the lunch special which was Chicken Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Mixed Vegetables, and Potato Soup. The soup was good, as was the CFS. The vegetables were a typical frozen/canned vegetable mix with lots of coarse broccoli stems.... More
