A group of 6 of us visiting Jack Allen's for a birthday celebration, all 6 of us where highly impressed. Every person we encountered greeted us with the sweetest smile and hi's. We did make reservations, so we were seated right away. We all enjoyed our specialty drinks we ordered. We ordered the guacamole, which was to die for, unique... More

Here on business and visiting kids. Decided to try it based on Trip reviews. We had catfish starters. So light and crisp. Pimento cheese with chips tasty. 2 of us had chicken fried steak. New York strip under that batter. Both had little bit of gristle. Batter was not too much. Portion size not over the top. Fish tacos were... More

We went during happy hour and we couldn't make it past appetizers - we were too full with such great food. Everything was fresh and delicious- homemade guacamole with pepitas, BLT with pork belly, quesadillas with short ribs - great twist to everything. Definitely on the come back list!

In promptu visit after a last minute recommendation from a friend. We sat by the creek and had a great friendly waiter. I had the fried beef ribs and my wife the skillet chicken enchildas. Will have to say the frozen Rita was spectacular. This stop was one of our highlights to start off a weekend hill country vacation. Will... More

The crowds and parking often make me not even give Jack Allen's a try. When we do go in, the service is good. The appetizers are good and the beer is cold

You bet! and the steak is a NY strip pounded flat (seems like a waste of a good steak to me) covered with green chile gravy with mashed potatoes and veggies on the side. Chicken fried chicken was good but the highlight for me was the apple/cranberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream.

I haven't been to JAK often enough which makes it tough to choose from the braid menu and tasty sounding specials when I do go. This time I opted for the turkey burger with traditional fries and I was not disappointed! The turkey burger was pleasantly moist and seasoned very nicely. The chips and table shaken salsa were a great... More

Nice Texas style upscale atmosphere and excellent food. We only stopped in for a quick bite and found the happy hour with discounted drinks and appetizers to be more than enough. The fried catfish was beautifully breaded and cooked so perfectly it was hard to believe it was fried. The short rib quesadilla melted in your mouth. Jack Allen's has... More

Fantastic food from salads, to to burgers to yummy fried beef ribs to the very best Mac'n Cheese in America. A group of servers who know the menu and are proud to tell you about the food and convert a sense of pride because they have the good fortune to work there!!! .
