I had lunch there by myself. I ordered the egg drop soup and chicken fried rice. I loved the chicken fried rice, but it was an extremely large portion size. The egg drop soup is was good. The egg drop soup is pictured below (with the crispy fried things that they automatically give each table).

By far the best Chinese delivery I've ever had. Portions enough to feed you for days, and I'd you order a shrimp dish thru don't skimp on shrimp. Excellent am around and fast delivery times considering traffic in Austin sucks.

Austin was long known for mediocre Chinese food, but lately there are some wonderful options. The Rice Bowl Cafe is among the best in Austin. Bring an appetite because their serving sizes are huge. Very good value, fast and friendly service, and clean restaurant. One limitation, they don't serve beer or wine.

If you travel to North Austin make sure you visit this quaint Taiwanese restaurant. It is clean, quite unlike most Asian restaurants, and the food speaks for itself! My favorites: Three cup chicken, Szechuan beef noodle soup, pan fried potstickers, braised pig feet. Some dishes may be a tad too authentic for Americans, but they are so tasty. You won't... More

Not being from this area, I was thrilled to have the delivery man show up with a handheld credit card machine and takes every different credit card. Wish they had this where I live. Food was very good, servings were large too.

Ordered moo shu pork, crab wontons, and hot and sour soup during a recent stay at a nearby hotel. The deliver took almost 90 minutes, and the delivery person offered not a hint of an apology when he arrived (though he did take the time to remind me to tip him). The soup was just awful. The wontons were quite... More

I have eaten here with my daughter twice, and she has ordered take out multiple times. The interior is nice with a variety of table sizes to help cover those odd size groups. This is one of those places where they come out with a plate for the table next to you, and you think, "Hey, I want to try... More

The Rice Bowel has excellent food and great service. The only complaint I would have is the price for the lunch special is around ten dollars without drink. The portions are diner size, so they could cut the portion down and lower the price. I ordered the orange chicken and it was excellent. There was a great blend of spices... More
