Ordered take out. Corned beef and cabbage, bangers, and mash, & fish and chips. Corned beef was a bit dry. Bangers and Nash very good. Fish and chips, ok. Had to wait for food. Very crowded but was fun. Even saw a wedding. I'll be back.

The place had excellent food, great prices for Austin but I never heard any Irish music and was really looking forward to hearing the classic Unicorn Song played in every other Irish pub I've been in! Go for the food.

Thanks for the review, and sorry you did not have the opportunity to hear one of the many Irish music sessions we offer weekly. Next visit, check out our website to preview our music schedule. My wife and I decided to venture in town for the Fish & Chips (and the revelry) on St. Patrick's day. Tough to find a seat, but after ordering drinks and the F&C from the bartender, we found one. Bartender was good guy too. Trina was our waitress and was great. It was crazy, but she got our card from... More

We spent the afternoon celebrating St. Pat's Day at BD Riley's and had an unbelievable time. Real Irish music, delicious Irish food and all the beer favs on tap. The wait staff was so friendly, attentive and quick despite the huge crowd and Steve (owner) even came by our table to say hello and check on us. I have been... More

Being a rock and roll fan, we thought we would enjoy the BD Rileys night. How we were wrong. We love rock/metal/punk. The owner of the bar thought we was better than the bands during SXSW. In Ireland, they try and incite all the bands to get involved with the craic. We've been to Ireland many times and this place... More

As operators of an Irish Pub for 17 years, and featuring over 8,000 live music acts on our stage, we feel qualified to determine what is best for our "Craic", guests, and staff. Any band that purposely endangers others and fails to heed numerous warnings to comply with Pub rules of conduct will be treated accordingly. Yours was no exception. More

What can I say? I visited Ireland before. This bar in Austin with live music is as close to the unique Irish atmosphere as it could in US. And Karen is the best of all the bartenders! Good jobs, guys!

The atmosphere in this place just can't be beat! I've been here several times, and am never disappointed. I had to share a meal with a friend because there was so much food!

Denise Thanks for the kind words on our Pub. I will pass your compliments on to our hard working staff. Look for our Grand Opening of our second location in March. The Irish Craftsmen are leaving today after completing all of the front of house interior work. Still lots to do in the kitchen construction, but should be open soon.... More

BD Riley's is THE BEST place to watch the Patriots! I was in Austin for a conference and was looking for a place to watch the Pats play in the AFC Championship game. I found BD Riley's on the Patriots Fan's web site, and I'm so glad I did. Steve and John were fantastic hosts. Steve does an incredible job... More

Come visit and experience the true feel of Ireland and the "Craic"(Fellowship and Fun) of your own local Irish Pub, in the heart of Austin's 6th Street Entertainment District. B.D. Riley's is not part of some national chain-for almost 15 years we've been a locally-owned, friendly, neighborhood pub restaurant serving a wide variety of award-winning foods, perfect pints of your favorite brews, great live music and the kind of crowd that always ensures a good time. C'mon in to the pub-make some new friends! If you are looking for a pub to call your own, look no further. The "formula" is pretty simple: serve good food and perfect pints in a traditional pub environment with a friendly staff, and season the mix with a healthy measure of cool live music featuring exclusively local Austin Artists. The result is a classic, classy neighborhood Pub. It's your own little patch of Irish comfort-on 6th Street! We'd really like to be your local pub on 6th Street. The Pub itself is a showplace (and our history is impressive). Every day is a good day to visit-we're open 365 days a year. Our Calendar always has the latest news and events, like televised sports, our prize-filled Pub Quiz trivia night, Live Music 7 nights a week with no cover charge, including each Wednesday after Trivia, a Sunday Irish Tune Session, and much more. Check out the additional pages linked above to learn more about the Pub, take a "tour," view our offerings, and learn about upcoming activities
