Megan, our receptionist at the Ella Hotel ( also brilliant by the way) recommended this place. What a result! Been in the US for 2 years now (from the UK) and this is some of the finest food we have had. Charcuterie starter is a must ( enough for a family of 4) followed by mini filets, pork butts, beef... Went to the Salty Sow for happy hour based on the reviews. Tried the deviled eggs (excellent so got a second order) and the brussel sprouts, also excellent. The service was decent and a couple of the servers seemed to not want to be there. Sat outside which was great although the tables are all high tops so were a... More

Good gastro pub, Stick with the various pork products since is the specialty. Bone marrow was very good, Brussels sprouts excellent so was pork porterhouse. Stay away from redfish, too dry. If coming from Downtown Austin and don't have a car make sure to arrange transport back in advance since a bit remote for a visitor. Specialty drinks look a... More

Service - top notch. After long day at Capitol for Senate hearings, called at 8:15pm to see if they could accommodate 2. 10 minutes later arrived and, though full, took our order for wine and said as soon as someone left, they would seat us. Not even 10 minutes later we had a great table and wonderful waiter, Ryan. Service... More

The food and service are great. My favorite dish is the beef shoulder but I haven't had anything on the menu that wasn't tasty. I've dined there at least 4 times in the last couple years and it's consistently awesome! The prices are reasonable and the environment is casual but nice! The beignets are so good!

The Chef's Veggies entrée was really delicious. This restaurant is noisy. Our server Emily is excellent. The restaurant has its own parking lot but I'm not sure where you park when the lot is full. Luckily, one car pulled out of a space before we had to figure out where to go. The Brussel sprouts appetizer is delicious and appears... More

We absolutely love this place! The food is fabulous and unique, and the service exceptional. The craft cocktails are a hit, too and if the weather is cool, sit outside! They have a nice Happy Hour and it's well-attended by the locals.
