East 6th St and the surrounding area is loaded with food options. If you want something tasty, this is your place. It's just a little cart on the sidewalk. I tried a smoked jalapeno sausage one night on the way home from the bars, and it was so good! Hit the spot!

I was wondering down 6th street late at night, which is a strip of a few blocks in downtown Austin replete with bars, restaurants, shops, etc. that is closed to traffic at night. I am big fan of sausages in general and had to give this a try. There a few sausages on offer, but I had the all-beef sausage,... More

The bratwurst was peculiar in a couple of ways: 1. Too much salt 2. Curry ketchup? Only in Berlin, not in the rest of Germany, and then on fries, not sausage. 3. Sauerkraut? Not where I grew up. 4. The bread? Typical American and therefore bordering on inedible.

Hotdog was average - however, within my exceptions of a hotdog stand on 6th Street, apart from the price - seemed expensive. What I think is cheeky is the guy taking the order asked if we wanted to tip. For a hotdog wrapped in a napkin?

Delicious bratwurst and worth the stop if you are in the area. It is a small little stand along the street.

The best 6th street late night snack. Sometimes after a night out in the bars of Austin, you need the perfect food to keep you from regretting your choice of drinks the night before. This food is Best Wurst. When my husband and I were dating and made a weekend trip to Austin we stumbled upon this establishment- yes yes... More

Good but got really sick after eating the jalepeno braut. The smell also got to us. May be just a fluke but it was bad.

OMG I'm so drunk...wait...what's that smell. Smells like heaven. Look, it's coming from that little food cart parked in the middle of the sidewalk. As I get closer my mouth starts to water, my stomach is begging for a little substance to mix with all the alcohol. I place my order for an Italian sausage sandwich with everything. He hands...
