This is a truly romantic dining room. The menu features classics and nightly specials. Dark woods accentuated by glass and brass lend to this period dining room.

This is a very warm and elegant atmosphere. Historic, wild Wild West roots with cowboy murals, longhorn heads, and sculptures to boot. We were here for a cocktails during the very busy SXSW time, and still impeccable service. Drinks and bar food were excellent. Great service, without being overly present.

We enjoyed wonderful reasonably priced breakfasts. Dinner was excellent but costly. The steak was magnificent. Cooked to perfection. Great salad and sides. Good for special occasions.

Walking into this hotel makes you feel like you've gone back in time 100 years. The hotel has clearly been renovated, but it feels very classic even with the updates. If you stay, request a room on the 5th floor if available - the ceilings are super high and makes the room feel much more palatial. We stayed 3 nights... More

If you want to back in time to a classic restaurant then this is absolutely the place to eat. I ate here with a group of 30 friends and we had a wonderful time. The food was at the top of my list for taste, presentation and amount.

We had lunch at The Driskill Hotel, a terrific old hotel modernized to present day, but keeping the incredible original Romanesque architecture of 1886. Our lunch was delicious -- burgers and fries. But the best thing was when we came back to the bar one night to hear a terrific band called the Gin Runners. The bar area has much... More

This is a really nice place to have dinner at. I ordered the fried chicken and I think I got half a chicken. It was huge and really delicious. You definitely need to try their signature 1886 chocolate cake.

Stop in the bar area -- have a drink and listen to music. The bartenders there (one been there 35-years) make some good drinks and offer great conversation.

We've stayed at The Driskill before, but were were staying at another hotel on this trip to the #ATX. Regardless, we always visit this hotel and the bar while in town. If you can nab a spot at the bar, jump on it. Regardless, the small tables are quite cozy and nice as well. The wait staff's service was excellent... More

We wanted to stay at the Driskill, but unfortunately it was sold out when we booked our hotel. Part of why I wanted to stay their was their bar area that I saw in photos. We were lucky enough one very busy night (the hotel had holiday parties going on) to score 2 seats at the bar. All three male... More
