Talk about a dive, the outside is very unimpressive, the inside, well lets just say interesting. The service was amazing, the dive was packed with people. The burgers are out of this world. The chili is made with brisket and just out of this world....More

without a trip to the Texas Chili Parlor. Truly an institution for great food and drink. Real chili is available here as opposed to many offering around the US. Spicy bloody Mary’s are hard to beat as well. Took a group of non-believers here for...More

Walked in a bit skeptical. Reputation of the place is big, need to see it for myself. Atmosphere is good, but what I would expect. Decent size place, maybe 25 to 30 tables plus a bar. Menu is chili, Mexican, burgers, bit of Cajun plus...More

Small and old as you would imagine an original Texan bar. The chili made of brisket (without beans) is superb. We shared a sampler of the chili, chicken gumbo and chicken enchilada. A delicious way to start the meal. My wife had a main of...More

Pretty good choices on the menu. I just had an appetizer which was average. Prices were reasonable. Service was good. Not a place I would frequent.

Went with family here recently on a stay in Austin. We were at the DoubleTree, so it was close to the hotel. Hotel staff recommended it, but I was very disappointed in the food...especially the chili! Air-conditioning was not working well, and the atmosphere is...More

We were greeted and seated upon arrival; the place was busy — the wait staff was hustling, yet still got it right. The prices are very good for the portions you get: $9 for a sampler-size bowl of chilli, a taco, and a huge all...More

Great food, great service , a quirky interior and knowledgable and helpful staff. The food is to die for. We had the combinations; 3 starter sized dishes for $8.50 giving a good all round selection And yes, the chilli is to die for

There is street parking meters very close by. You shouldn't have any trouble at all finding a spot. I was there during a UT football game and found a spot with no trouble.
