It is pretty good. Can get crowded as state workers from various neighboring offices come over at lunch. Daily lunch soup specials. Burgers are good. Hot and cold sandwiches. Food can be taken to go. Lots of indoor seating and some outdoor seating.

I felt my blood sugar drop so told my wife I needed to get a bite to eat so we tried the cafe attached to the museum as we weren't finished looking. Ordered the loaded baked potato but was told they were out so had the cheeseburger instead. I was very pleased with the burger. Medium sized pattie with the... More

Really nice surroundings. Food was very good when they first opened but the quality has deteriorated badly. Sandwiches are inedible. Salads were fresh, now prepackaged.

We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The food was great and fairly reasonable for an attraction. This is a great idea for the location and look forward to visiting again soon.

Had the fried catfish platter which comes with two sides. Chose black bean soup and Spanish fried rice. Side order of sweet potato fries and pecan coffee. Soup was very good (spicy!). Everything was good, wish portion was a little bigger. All for $13 and change. Restful ambience, great customer service.

The Cafe is on the second floor, and you don't need to get the Museum ticket to eat there. There is more than ample seating, some outside with good views of the University and if you crane your neck, the Capitol. The Cafe has good vegetarian choices, and the portions are ample. This is not a Michelin restaurant, but it's... More

Solid museum cafe-type food, very convenient if you work nearby or are visiting the Bullock Museum. Probably not worth the trip otherwise.

We grabbed a quick lunch whilst visiting the museum and were pleased with the choice and value here. We had a grab and go sandwich and a jacket potato, but there was a good range of hot and cold food available. As it was hot, we opted to sit in the air conditioning of the restaurant, but there is a... More

While visiting family in Austin, we noticed an exhibit that intrigued us that shared hand made quilts called "And Still We Rise: Race, Culture and Visual Conversations" which features works by contemporary artists from the Women of Color Quilters Network. The exhibit was superb and we needed more time to enjoy the stories connected with the displays so we visited... More
