My family was at the Seton Medical Center visiting a family member and needed to have dinner and directly across the street was Santa Rita Tex-Mex Cantina that was recommended by many of the staff at the hospital. So all 9 of us walked directly across the street for dinner. The staff was great, the food and selections were terrific,... More

Ok place but don't think I will be back. We were there for a rehearsal dinner with a party of 20 or so. The food was cool when it came out and just didn't stand out to me as exceptional, granted we only had three choices of entrees to pick from. The service was good and employees were friendly. The... After close to three weeks out of the country, I was jonesing for some Mexican food, and so I headed for one of my go-to places, Santa Rita. Nothing fancy, just good food at a decent price, good 'Ritas, hot, thin chips with tasty salsa, and good service. There is a little patio for dining outdoors, and the Happy Hour... More

We ate here as a work group and everyone got something different! Every really liked what they got! I got a chicken plate that was very good. The salsa was pretty spicy and the rancho beans had some heat to them too! I would eat here again if I as in the the area!!

First - my bonafides. I grew up in Austin, went to UT, and have lived all around the state. Our family went to a lot of different Austin Tex Mex places, but - for the last 20 years or so - Santa Rita has been the choice. Sure, there are a lot of really good Mexican options in the foodie... More

Some of work group met up at the Santa Rita on 38th St for Happy Hour. We were upset when we left because the service was terrible, the appetizers were cold and the (server/manager) were being discriminatory toward us. Yes we were laughing loud and having a good time, but after the 2nd round of Margaritas, we were cut off.... More

Santa Rita is a good cantina in a good location. We enjoyed the Santa Rita Chalupas at an inexpensive price.

Our server Alex was the most attentive server we have had in years. So personable and friendly. I ordered Tex Mex #1 and hubby ordered Tacos Al Pastor, both were above average dishes and were delicious! Great atmosphere and most importantly they were quick. We were in and out within 30 minutes! We will be sure to return to Santa... More
