We had the need for a quick bite leaving the bars so found P Terry's burgers. A person who left for San Antonio 15 years ago still spoke fondly of the place. He mentioned the fries and he is right. They are cut right there...More

Stopped by for late lunch after spending some time with the family in Zilker Park. Great tasting hamburger and I loved the shoestring fries. They also have very refreshing lemonade. This is a drive through with a walk-up window. There is ample seating at picnic...More

This is our go-to place for a late dinner. Their fries are really good. I have been here several times and it's always been delicious. They have several options to choose from.

In my previous review, I did not rate P. Terry's highly. Since then, I have been back a few times, discovered the Double Burger and I'm hooked. The meat is juicy and tender, love the sauce. If only they would offer an alternative to American...More

Hi there, thanks for your review - we appreciate you giving us another shot after a poor first impression. We understand that american cheese isn't everyone's favorites, though it's the classic topping for a diner-style burger. That's why we also offer swiss cheese for any...More

This local establishment has burgers that are twice as good and half the price of a CA chain. Their patties are made from quality beef and their fries are made from fresh potatoes. Try the tasty whole wheat bun or even their delicious veggie burger....More

I eat at P. Terry's any time I'm wanting a fast-food burger. The quality is high, and the freshness outclasses all of the rest of the fast food burger places. While moth placed cook fries from a partially precooked frozen product, P. Terry's starts with...More

Got a simple breakfast and it was simply wonderful. They have good coffee. Their banana bread is great. I got a stripped down egg sandwich- just scrambled eggs on one of their good buns cause I wanted to skip the unhealthy bacon. The sandwich was...More

We were staying in town for a few days and one of the hospital workers told that she used them to cater her wedding. We had to try it. The atmosphere reminded us of an old burger joint. The employees were very well trained and...More

Coming from the Northeast and having been to In/Out burger on the west coast, this place is at In/Out burger level. We have 5 Guys, Shake Shack, Elevation Burger, Smash Burger, and several others...nothing comes close to IN/Out but P.Terry's sure does. It was delicious...More

So awesome! Lettuce wrapped burger with lettuce and tomato is incredible. Let it sit just a bit before diving in though as it's a little damp right off the jump. DELICIOUS and NO BUN!

Description
Kathy and Patrick Terry opened the first P. Terry's on July 5th, 2006 at the corner of South Lamar and Barton Springs. Patrick was following his childhood dream to open a classic burger stand, like the legendary Mack Eplin's he grew up with in Abiliene, Texas. But when Kathy read the book "Fast Food Nation", their plan to provide quality food and service went to a higher level. P. Terry's offers the freshest quality ingredients you can find served out of a drive-thru window. We're where fresh, all-natural, "never-ever" beef and chicken became staple items. We serve fresh-cut fries made from all-natural potatoes, free of trans fats and hydrogenated oils. Add to that our fresh-baked cookies, banana bread, and house veggie burger; our fresh-squeezed orange juice and lemonade; and our authentic milkshakes - we care about what's out there to eat, and we make our food with that in mind. But we didn't forget Patrick's original image - the classic burger joint of the '50s and '60s, when small-town hospitality was the standard. That's why we offer a simple menu with an open kitchen, with premium quality ingredients served at affordable prices. It's why we treat every customer with utmost respect; take every chance to give back to our community; and ensure our employees' well-being - through opportunities to grow with our business, access to unique benefits, and pay above industry standards.
