Located in the downtown area, this was a convenient place for us. They take reservations and we were seated at our reservation time. We tried all of the BBQ meats. The brisket was delicious! The pulled pork and ribs were also quite good. The chicken was not our favorite. The brisket sandwich was good but the person who had it... More

Nice place for meat lovers. Vegetarians should avoid it. There is little they can eat, almost no selection. It is a place for ribs and steaks, but not sophisticated as Plachutta, in Vienna, where one gets to know each different cut of meat with their pros and cons. Here it is just meat. The only option I had was flat... More

They have a fun happy hour. Food is very good and you will be served huge portions. Some plates and side dishes are easily shared. I was not inspired by their ribs because there is too much vinegar in the sauce. But I'm told that's how they do it in Austin. If you don't like vinegar based BBQ sauce, there... More

Our first night in Austin, and our friend from Georgetown suggested Lamberts, as a restaurant she likes when attending a downtown event. So we made reservations, and settled in on the outside patio -- which was nice and not as crowded or loud as inside. Service was slow and spotty. Luckily we were mostly ok with leisurely service, because nothing... More

Went twice during a week in town for work. Very popular place, definitely make a reservation regardless of the day of the week. I started with the mezcal cocktail which was really good, a different spin on a margarita. We shared some starts including the wild boar ribs, fried oysters. The oysters were probably my favorite. The boar ribs were... More

No interest in waiting for hours to eat at Franklin? Us either. Lamberts is the high end alternative. The meat is perfect, the sides are delicious and the service was very good. We dined in the outdoor patio and it was lovely. The short rib was pricey but the best BBQ meat I had ever eaten. Our server Blake was... More

Great Food, Great Service, and Worth Every Penny. Had the beef short rib, which was excellent chewy bark with a savory and moist interior. Great with and without saunce. Great BBQ sauces. My friends pull pork was also excellent. Like this place because the range of prices allows all folks to get a great dinner. The veggies were tasty. The... More

We tried to have dinner here on Sunday but they were closed for a private event. I am so glad we came back the next day before leaving town. We sat in their outdoor patio area and had great food and service.

We had a lunchtime reservation, but it was not crowded at all. Since it was bbq, I went all the way with brisket and pulled pork, sides of mac and cheese and yucca cole slaw. The mac and cheese LOOKED awesome, it was only good though, and I was able to use the cheese sauce to dip my hot jalapeño... More
