We recently went here for my birthday. The wine list is solid, if not terribly exciting. The bread is the star of the show. It is absolutely amazing. We had a very good carpaccio for an appetizer. Soups and salads were excellent. The entrees were a little hit and miss. The pork belly was very well liked. I had the... More

This is our second year that we ate here for our New Years Eve meal. Last year I had the ossobuco which my wife had this year. This year I ate risotto with lobster and calamari. Appetizer was polenta with a mushroom sauce. Dessert was chocolate pepper soup. Everything I ate was incredible. Absolutely one of the best meals I... More

We have been enjoying this sleepy Austin eatery for over five years. When we made our first visit the darkly lit strip center caused us to rethink our decision to "try" a new Italian restaurant. We are so happy we walked in. It is like home. The owner is Italian and the chef sends out the most wonderful dishes around.... More

It always amazes me that Andiamo doesn't get more attention - they have been consistently great year after year. I would come in for the garlic bread alone! Please visit them often enough to keep them open for a long time, but not so often that it's hard for me to get a table.

Normally I'm not this critical of a restaurant, but this is supposed to be high end so I'm giving it a high end review. When I spend $150 for two people for dinner in Austin, I expect it to be at least 4 stars. This, sadly wasn't. I've been to Italy many times and was SO wanting this to be... More

What can I say about a place with a great wait staff and good food. The waiter replaced my drink when it was almost empty and was extremely knowledgeable about all the items on the menu. Brook the other waitress, was explaining wines at the table next to me and she was very experienced about that. I had the Lasagna,... More

What a perfect luncheon experience. Fabio, our waiter, gave us a wonderful anniversary meal and made us feel special. The zucchini soup was velvety and rich. Our entrees were prepared superbly.....we both had seafood and the plating was lovely. For dessert we had tiramisu and limoncello cheese cake with expresso. The bottle of Chianti Classico was the perfect wine with... More

Our family visited this restaurant for a special occasion and loved the food. Definitely a restaurant for special occasions - we ended up spending approx. $70/person before tax and tip. Just like another reviewer noted here on TA, you are expected to order multiple courses. In our case we DID order a mix of salads/appetizers (1 each of all of... More

I'm a bit puzzled how to write this review. This restaurant has a menu structured in the classic fashion. You are expected to order a salad, a first course (usually pasta), and then a second course (meat or fish). This is how it is done in Italy where dinner might last several hours. This ends up being very expensive. Most... More
