I went here for brunch after the Capital 10K Run on a Sunday. Food was perfect and the service was outstanding!!! I had the big breakfast and my partner had the chilaquiles. I wish I would have ordered one of their hibiscus teas or horchata but the regular water was good. It tasted clean and not like cheap chlorinated tap... More

We went in for a meal at happy hour. The Food was well seasoned, had empanadas plate and the Zocalao plate. The food presentation was average. Overall experience was very good compared to Swansea IL.

This will be one of my go to places. Food is excellent, reasonably priced, great location in central Austin, very pleasant and efficient staff and clean and interesting surroundings. Not your typical Tex/Mex restaurant. i highly recommend Zocalo.

This place is a good example why you cannot always trust trip advisor ratings. Why wouldn't a place that uses all natural meat and eggs and local produce be at least a top 15% restaurant? They not only use quality ingredients its prepared deliciously.

Quick stop after a business meeting was the perfect pick for a quick and tasty lunch. Modern atmosphere with a casual, hip vibe provided great environment to feast on great Mexican fare. Warm chip and salsas was a great starter before entrees of fish tacos and salads.

Not traditional in looks for a Mexican place but the food was good. Thought it was weird you had to order and pay before you got your food. The parking lot is small but luckily we had room for our truck. Not sure if we'd go again ....just not our type of place for Mexican.

This place was picked by my grandson as some place new for my wife and I to try. It is a typical, fast food kind of joint. We really weren't very hungry so I ordered appetizers and she had a veggie burrito. The kids ordered their own food and ate most of it and seemed to like it. I on... More

I tried the Pork carnitas and beef fajitas. Both are yummy. We also tried the green sauce, which is hot and the mild sauce with chips. They are pretty good too. Btw- the porch is pet friendly.

Zocalo is on West Lynn at 12th Street in Austin's coolatious Clarksville neighborhood. The owners also run the Galaxy Café two block south on West Lynn. Fresh Mexican food chilaquiles plate, chicken flautas, ceviche, tostada salad add green chile chicken not fajita chicken. Our teenage boys have loved their food since they were little. We probably eat there once a... More
