A friend and I decided to try out this local coffee shop instead of meeting at one owned by a well-known company that is based in Seattle. If you want to see the diversity typical of Austin, this is a good place to visit. Plan to spend some time admiring the decor and people-watching while you sip your beverage. You'll... More

This 24×7 coffee stop is a favorite for UT students any time of day, the indoor and outdoor seating is welcoming and made to cozy up to someone you haven’t met, start a conversation, and make a friend.

I was visiting Austin and love trying cool local coffee shops when I travel. My husband I came across this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I had an iced chai and my husband had a hot chai latte. We also shared a slice of chocolate cake which was excellent. The dessert selection was limited in... More

This is what they mean by keeping old Austin intact. The coffee and snacks are good, but it's the location, decor, and people scenery that makes this a go-to area. Located in a kitschy, mixed lifestyle neighborhood, with young professionals, artist and musician types, and retired intellectuals and philosophers. You'll see an endless parade of highly creative tats, clothing combos,... More

I love coffee. All coffee. Cheap coffee, fancy coffee. French press and 7 Eleven. Epoch is not about the coffee. It is about the coffee house. Their coffee is fine, I usually get a black eye, but don't go for the coffee. Don't go for the food -- excluding the bageldogs, I often kick my morning off with them. But... More

Good coffee, of course, and first free wi-fi. What else do you need? Nice cozy inside. First takeaway service.

Just happened into this coffee place while visiting Austin. The cold brew coffee and the atmosphere were enough to sell it to me. I will be back to enjoy this place!

The atmosphere of this place, especially outdoors, makes me feel as if I've stepped back into the 1970s. It's quirky, sprawling compared with many Austin coffeeshops, and serves some of the best espresso in town. I'd like to see some healthier high-quality menu options when I'm somewhere for long study sessions, but the pizzas sure smelled good.

We stopped to spend some time while waiting to meet another person for dinner at a nearby restaurant. We are an older couple and we raised the average age of the patrons significantly. We were obviously a little out of place, but nobody made us feel that way- only our own observation. Nice to have a good cup of coffee... More
