The lock on the ladies room is broken. Awkward! Don't order lettuce wraps. I can make better. Still a beautiful old home even if I did visit between shifts in afternoon. Good, decent restaurant if someone watches them carefully.😀

Always enjoy lunch here They have best mushroom soup around. Nice quiet atmosphere. I do recommend not to go on a lunch hour, usually takes a while to get your food. Worth the wait

The food is excellent. I had crab cakes and green tomatoes. My wife had the Trout. We both had Jack Daniels french onion soup. The service was great and the atmosphere of the 1908 house is good. Best place to eat at in Abingdon.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch before a show at Barter Theatre. The restaurant is located inside a beautiful historic looking house. The atmosphere is very inviting with fireplaces and thickly padded chairs. We both decided to try the herb encrusted salmon with rice and snow peas. It was absolutely delicious!! All of it. The salmon and the... More

We took a walk down the streets of Abingdon and didn't notice this restaurant - we saw it but assumed it was a home and didn't notice the sign. When looking online for a place to eat, we realized that we had passed right by The Peppermill. After our Barter Theater matinee, we walked about a block to the restaurant.... More

The Peppermill offers a diverse menu , quality bar, and a relaxed atmosphere. In warm weather it is nice to sit outside on the old southern style front porch and enjoy the slice of Americana that is Main Street Abingdon . Overall a great place to eat and relax !

As a local, we know that the Peppermill is going to good each time we go. Whether it's for lunch, dinner or just meeting friends for appetizers and drinks, this restaurant is a warm and welcoming destination.
