We won't be going back if I have any say in it. My wife wanted to try it since she had been there years ago. It was busy, but we had no wait until we sat down. We got menus and water pretty fast, then it took 15 min for a waiter to acknowledge us and ask if we wanted... More

Went there with some friends. The food was very tasty and at a great price. The negative was that the seating was a little sparse. The service was great and friendly. I will go back

I saw the steep ramp out front but a sign saying enter via the side entrance which was not accessible. However, a waiter jumped to it and waved us to the front entrance where with a pusher I was able to climb the ramp. However, once inside it was tight but manageable with a wheelchair and best of all they... More

Located on the main drag in Del Ray, the Evening Star does suffer from limited parking for visitors. However, once there, the weekend brunch service was prompt and the offerings were good. Both the Mimosa and Bloody Mary were well prepared and very reasonably priced. An American breakfast including 3 eggs and hand made breakfast sausage was terrific at $10,... More

We got there at opening, which there was already a line formed up at the door. We had a table by the window and it was very, very hot sitting there. If you go, please try to sit away from those two tables. It would have been cooler to just have sat outside. I had the chicken and waffles... and... More

The service was friendly, the food came quickly, the Primanti sandwiches were delicious, the beer list is impressive, and the price was right (about $40 for three).

Why this place is so full. It was later in the evening -we were seated and became invisible. No water, no acknowledgement we were there, nothing. There were staff standing around. The hostess stood glassy eyed starring out the window. After 10-15 minutes she came over and poured water and said they were slammed by "all the people who came... More

Great beer, crappy food. Environment is nice. Great for if all you want to do is go out for a relaxing evening with friends.

This is a cute restaurant in the Del Rey community in Alexandria. The outside patio is dog friendly. The restaurant is also stroller friendly, no steps and no objects that were difficult to maneuver around. The service was excellent. I really enjoyed my peanut butter and banana French Toast. My husband said his chorizo dish was just okay. I ordered... More

Spicy Bloody Mary garnished with bacon & grilled cheese leaves you wanting more! Beer selection is great with seasonal changes, for those not fond of BM's. Brunch food is good, chicken & waffles are fun treat, but benedict dishes are great too. Tip ~ sit at the bar if the cafe is crowded, no smoke smell & service is great!
