We had an excellent brunch with great service. Doesn't hurt that they serve delicious breads from a bakery next door that makes banana bread, muffins, sticky buns, donuts (and cupcakes). Most at our table got the scramble which was a nice combo of scrambled eggs...More

I have been to Carlyle for family celebrations (including small children as well as teenagers), romantic dinners, business meetings, and snacks at the bar. This is a versatile, consistent, locally-owned eatery. Yes, it is usually busy and a bit noisy in some places, but call...More

Dining at the Carlyle whether it's lunch or dinner can usually guarantee you consistency in the food and it's presentation. It's been around a very long time and is a Shirlington favorite. Sometimes the wait staff are not as good as they can be. For...More

Love everything about Carlyle. Brunch is great. Required visit when the family is visiting. Great for adults and kids alike. Cloudless chocolate waffle is excellent. Very attentive to gluten allergy. Just tell your server, they have a separate gluten free menu.

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
Can you accomadate customers on a low salt diet? Butter is ok but no other sauces or dressings that are more the .05% sodium per serving? Are all veggies and meats fresh or frozen as frozen often has sodium as a preservative. What would you suggest other then a stripped down salad with vinigar and oil dressing? This would be for lunch on July 20th. We would be a party of 15-20 with 2 important members on low salt diets due to heart desease.
