Believe it or not, we ate here on a diet, to go out with our son. We usually down those delicious potatoes and creamed spinach, but by cutting back on those, we just enjoyed our meat and were well satisfied. (My son did give us...More

Made a reservation for 6 at this restaurant for Fathers Day based on the recommendation of a trusted colleague. I had one of the best steaks ever while dining here (I ordered the entrecote - think ribeye). Keep in mind though that it's located in...More

The restaurant is roomy, so it's easy to converse with your table. We were a table of five, and three of us ordered steaks -- medium rare, medium and well-done, and they all came out as ordered.

I had heard that Ray's had great steaks at great prices. I live ~30 minutes away, but had a business meeting in Ballston, 10 minutes away. Made a reservation for 2 for myself and a business associate for a 6:30 pm Wednesday dinner. I had...More

For the only Steakhouse ( tp my knowledge ) in the Clarendon/courhouse area it leaves you wondering why its not better. Not a lot of negatives to say but it is just ok. It is missing a great opportunity to really excel in an area...More

Immediate service. Quality wait staff. Ray's is an excellent choice for mid to upscale restaurant with the added value of business-casual dining. Well done (unlike my steak that was cooked perfect)!

A whole group of us went to Ray's steak house to celebrate a Georgetown graduation. The reviews indicated the food was OK and so the service. Of the two, the food is definitely more important, but in this instance both ruined what was to be...More

Our waitress was fantastic (Heather)! All of our food was cooked perfectly, and very flavorful. It is a little pricier than I am used to paying but the experience was worth it. Our only downside was that our parking validation did not work, so we...More

What a great meal. First off the waitstaff was awesome. Heather gave my wife and I complementary glasses of champagne as we sat down. Both of us loved our meals. The sides weren't great but the steaks were wonderful, my filet could have been cooked...More

The evening we visited they did not offer live music. We did notice that the music wasn't too loud and made the dinning atmosphere even that much better for conversations.

Very Casual--Wore blue jeans and a golf shirt--I fit right in. There is a more formal area (still not formal--many people with slacks and shirt) and then a very informal place which I really like

Yes, there are plenty of options for those with specific allergies. I have a dairy allergy, so understand completely. Just make sure your server knows you have an allergy before ordering and they can always check with chef.
