Go to this place for the lunch specials. Pupusas are great. Food is overpriced otherwise. And avoid the margaritas.

Behind the 7-11 just off the Columbia Pike, this is another great little stop for pupusas in Arlington. Inexpensive platters for lunch with quick service, I always enjoy eating here. Some of the best tamales I've tasted, very smooth almost like a sweet corn soufflé. Colorful interior with friendly, attentive wait staff.

We've been going to Abi's for 20+ years and love the restaurant. They have a fantastic weekday happy hour til 7:00pm with discounted margaritas which are fantastic. They don't taste like they are made with a mix and very generous sized glasses. The pupusas are delicious and they have a special crab pupusa but I prefer the mixed pork and... More

Ate here for the first time in several years (prior visits 2009-2010) and it was just as good as I remembered. I pretty much always get the combination with a tamal (I get chicken) and pupusa. It is always great and the waitresses are friendly. Good spot for lunch. Give it a try!

Situated next to a 7/11 and blocked from view by a McDonald's, I was a little apprehensive about this place, but SO pleasantly surprised! This is exactly what I hope for when I look for authentic "hole in the wall" restaurants. I ordered the Pollo Entomatado and was brought a massive plate of which I could only finish half. I... More

First, let me say that we went during the FIFA cup USA game. The restaurant was packed with people watching the game, which significantly slowed our food delivery. However, the service was very attentive, the atmosphere was family friendly and the food was good. The place looks like a hole in the wall...and it was! that being said, we were... More

For latino food, this is the place to go. Had the steak/shrimp(2)/scallop(2) meal. Came with an assortment of peppers/tomato/onion cooked with the scallop/shrimp. I think the pepper was soaked in a salsa (or some other spice) that was very tasty. Waiter service was excellent. Only complaint was that this restaurant had a group of tables (12?) that was right next... More

First, this place is a dive -- a hole in the wall kinda place. That said, its one of my favorite places to eat. Great authentic mexican and el salvadorian at dirt cheap prices. Great happy hour too. Staff are wonderful although a few struggle with their English. Been eating here for at least once a week for almost ten... More

I just have to say that this is a low-key kinda place that serves well prepared authentic food, if you feel the need to dress up fancy and spend large amounts of cash to impress your date just pass by this. If you really want to have a memorable date then come here! The point at Abi is to enjoy... More

Abi's has been our favorite local spot for the last few years. The place is certainly no frills, but welcoming and authentic. My husband is Salvadorean and definitely picky when it comes to pupusas (no one makes them better then his mom). He loves this place! He says they are the second best he has had. They are not greasy-... More
